Has anyone finished the achievement Lu Bu?
I saw the latest update change the achievement Lu Bu from 2000 kills to 1000 kills, so I load an old saved file of Lu Bu and try to achieve it. I dispatch Lu Bu and several cavalry detachments to join the battle. Until now I thought his bodyguard should have killed enough enemies, since nearly 70% of the map is conquered, but I cannot prove it. So I want to ask has anyone already made it?

Probably could the kill number be displayed in the steam achievements panel? So that players can examine their progress anytime.

You need to get 1000 more kills with Lu Bu, whether in an existing campaign or in a new one. You could do it with a captured Lu Bu. The count is not reset if he is captured.

Sorry, previously the game had a bug that didn't record the number of kills made. So you'll need to make 1000 kills with the new version to unlock it.

Does this mean, I need to start a new game of Lu Bu, instead of playing an old file to unlock the achievement?

Besides, I have two more relevant questions:

Could I play as another faction, capture Lu Bu and force him join me, then use him to unlock the achievement?

If Lu Bu was captured and released by an enemy, will the kill number recount from 0? (I find that the victory numbers will be reset to 0 when a character is captured and released, so I have to assure of it)

How do you all even make it as Lu Bu? half the time i raid for the money but it seems like I can never get the "Kill Dong Zhuo" event to fire... is their a proximity or something? Do i have to wait before i start taking my own cities?

Just forget about the mission. Occupying settlements from the beginning and enlarge your territories at the cost of your neighbors. When you are strong enough, you could revoke the lordship of Dong Zhuo through attacking one of his armies and towns. Being independent could give you free diplomacy to make peace with some more powerful factions. As for the mission, well I have to say although I really want to go through the historical events, but it is time-consuming and sometimes meaningless to the strategic situation. Especially for Lu Bu, following the mission could lead to loss of the best timing of developing his faction.

Keep trying! Let Lu Bu command some noble cavalry or better horse troops, so he could quickly move around the battlefront and collect kills.

Using him to defeat the Yellow Turban rebels is your best bet.
