Island Map seed! A must try map!

I have seen there are quite a few people after great map seed's. Personally i love map seed's where you start on your own private island. And have to invade the continent via ship's. If you want a map seed where you have your own private island, with great resources, look no further!!

(All information must be put in to the appropriate feild's to get the island).

Though at start it may not look like you are on a island. After two to three turns of exploration, you will find that your capital is on your own private island.

Resources that spawn on this island are :
- Iron (northern island)
- Mulberry x2
- Clay x2 (northern island)
- Jade (northern island)
- Rhino's
- Deer
- Fish

This island fits FOUR settlements very nicely. However you can sqeeze in a FIFTH, though i wouldnt recomend it.

I would recomend turning research rate up to 150% for this map. Just so you can get sea fareing ships quicker.
I would also recomend focussing on Utilising Quay's.
Tip: Utilise the river on the island for farming.


(SPOILER ALERT FOR CONTINENT LOCATION)

To save you some time in naval exploration, the location of the continent is 8 hexes north of the island. The moment you find the continent, you will instantly find Shu's nation capital. Around Shu is almost every other nation. For some reason on this map all nations seem to start close to each other.

East and west are for your exploration :) You might find some thing good! :)

Incase any one wants another island start, i have another seed. This one is just insane, and one of the most beautiful maps i have every played on. However, it is very difficult to start.

This island is situated in the middle of a lake. Its tiny. It only holds your capital. It also has allot of marsh land on it.

- Iron
- Mulberry
- Rhinos
- Fish

This map greatly reminded me of studio ghibli's (Princess Mononoke) as my capital was quickly turned into Iron Town and became a fotified industrial power house. Plus the mainland is sorrounded by mountains and endless forests.

I personally put the research rate to 200% for 19 turns. Just so i can get to unlocking the boat yard as quick as possible. Also to drain the marshes situated around the capital.

Very pretty map, has to be explored!!!

These seem neat, will the ai do naval invasions? I've never tried maps where that would be an option.

The AI does do Naval invasion's. I found actually, the moment i shared to another faction my capital location, it seemed they all wanted to build ships and come to the island. By the time they started doing so however, i had a large superioroity in the sea, and denied any ship that gained access.
