Is the Foundry Misclassified?
I see that the Foundry is listed among the military buildings but does it have any military purpose? It seems like it would be more properly listed among the Civic buildings as its only benefits, are trade related, no?

In a related question.... Does the armorer give already raised troops the benefit of better defense and armor or do they need to return and replenish their ranks in a city with an armorer to see the improvement? I'm guessing that can experiment with this to determine the answer but It would be great if someone in the know could just fill me in. Thanks in advance.

Dude you really need yo just read the guides. You have asked like a dozen questions, most of which are covered in the guides. Seriously, read them and stop flooding the board with simple questions.

If it bothers you perhaps there should be a sub board for just help/newbie related questions. But there's not. Other games have that. For whatever reason the developers here haven't set that up yet.

As to my question... I did check the guide it's NOT specifically stated but I think in this case I'm right.

The reason that I'm asking detailed questions is partly that I'm a OCD style learner and partly that I'm working on the wiki and trying to check my facts. https://orientalempires.gamepedia.com/Oriental_Empires_Wiki

No you clearly have not read the guides as they state what the foundry is for; required for iron-equipped units, like gunners and cataphracts.

That's listed as Iron Foundry. Is it the same building?

It is an upgrade if I recall. The foundry being for bronze, then upgrades to iron age.

Once I get that far I'll be sure and add it to the wiki.

In the mean time, please feel free to add anything and everything you know to the wiki as well.

You know the developers are running a contest with a free boxed version of the game + other stuff to the winners

The more info that gets in there, the fewer "dumb questions." you'll be plagued with here in the general discussion thread.

Already raised troops do not get benefits. You have to disband them and re-raise them.
