Where does bronze come from?
https://orientalempires.gamepedia.com/Bronze_Making

Is it mined? Is it everywhere without needing any mining just the requisite technology?

It comes from a foundry building. You get a bonus to the value of the bronze you produce if that city also has a copper resource in or adjacent to it's territory.

Thank you!

BTW... there are two wikis being developed for this game.

The one you cite
https://orientalempires.gamepedia.com/Oriental_Empires_Wiki
and
http://oriental-empires.wikia.com/wiki/Oriental_Empires_Wikia

I think that the developers are favoring the one you cited. (At least that's the one that they announced the contest for)

Does anyone know if the other should be marked abandoned?

Should you build a foundry in all cities or is 1 in a copper city all you need?

You'll find answer to that in my guide on steam.

Check it up

As much as I appreciate someone taking the time to write a guide, I am more interested in finding the answers in the game's documentation itself. I found nothing in the manual, but the manual won't allow me to search for "bronze" to find every place that it's mentioned. So the game does not make it easy for me to find the answers. I didn't find a manual softcopy included with the game. If the game wiki fails, then I hope whoever maintains will add this level of detail to the wiki.

I honestly avoided researching jade and bronze technologies thinking "well I don't have copper and tin and jade mines yet, hopefully I'll find those resources eventually."

Also Sanvone, I did read your guide (or at least I searched it for bronze) before posting this thread. It was not explicitly spelled out that some resources are created out of the foundry.

But by logic if they weren't in resource chapter of guide then they had to be produced by buildings.

I'm sorry that you were dissatisfied with the earlier answers. It's often difficult to understand where someone is coming from when they ask a question.

So... 1) as Neutron stated, no, you don't need any of the resources to benefit from the related technologies. But if you have them, you'll benefit more.

2) I did make sure that the wiki page on Bronzemaking did include an answer to your question. https://orientalempires.gamepedia.com/Bronze_Making

Well everybody's doing the best they can. No worries. I had played a lot of Civ and resources are required for unit building (you cannot build a swordsman without controlling an iron tile on the map). That's not the case here.
