* Look in the in-game menus for an option to do this.
* Delete Local Content and reinstall Snakebird. I call this step "reinstall the game" in the following bullets.
* Steam -> Settings -> Cloud -> uncheck Enable Steam Cloud synchronization..., and then reinstall the game.
* Right click on Snakebird in the Library view -> Properties -> Updates -> uncheck Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Snakebird, and then reinstall the game.
My next suspicion is that Delete Local Content doesn't really delete the local content like it's saying. I'm guessing there are some left over files that have the save in them on my system. I'm on Linux.
In your steam Library:
* Right click Snakebird -> Properties -> Updates -> uncheck Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Snakebird. Close.
* Delete your save game, which is a file called "main.sav".
*** Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Snakebird\SavesDir\main.sav
*** Mac: (I don't know; I don't own a mac. please post if you know the answer.)
*** Linux: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Snakebird/SavesDir/main.sav
* Play Snakebird.
If you ever want to go back to your cloud save, undo step 1 above (by checking "Enable Steam Cloud...."), launch the game, and choose "DOWNLOAD TO THIS MACHINE".
If you're playing with an "offline" save, you can reset it again by deleting main.sav again and relaunching the game.
