Goblin Menace, last boss

So, I'm stuck on the last boss of the expansion. I can get through phase 1 fine, that's been a matter of standing between the pit and the air vent, and then stepping into the vent to shoot down with the thief when the bosses weapon moves forward to target her. That's been easy.

Phase 2 has been a nightmare. If I stand up top, I die almost instantly to the bosses attacks destroying my platforms, and then the boss WTFpwning me. I haven't figured out how to damage him from the bottom at all, meaning that I need to get up top, but he destroys the platforms pretty much instantly. I can't get to the checkpoint in the top center to resurrect, because he's destroying the platforms so quickly.

And yes, I'm playing on Easy. :(

Any suggestions?

Phase 2 is the easier one with that boss. Just use Zoya run under him, he is gonna try to crush you so you can get free shot at back, then again run under and shoot from other side, just rinse and repeat. This way boss cant shoot you with cannon and crushing motion is so slow you can easily just run under him.

personally, i find the sawblade the real pain, I found myself restarting the level dozens of times trying to do it without dying (trine kaput for good achievement)

easier way is to use pontius's sheild to refect fire back at goblin

what i do is with a co-op partner i just camp on the thing when he dies then rezzes phase 2 this always works multiplayer or not phase 1 or 2 i just camp at the steam with a bubble so he is powerles he comes to me to crush i just go to the other side then go on the steam to shoot him from above that way he cant hurt u and u can hurt him also explosive bow is needed

I needed to restart the level only once, what I did was: in phase 1 every time I was killed I ran to one of the air vents as fast as I could before the machine could get at me, and jumped on the wooden platforms and to the "reviving globe" to be revived. I used Zoya with explosive bow to shoot at the machine from the side everytime an inner part of the machine was exposed. Changed to Pontius with the shield whenever something was fired at me. Rinse and repeat. In phase 2 I used Pontius to kill the Goblin King, this was not very hard if you can get on top of the machine. I managed to get revived every time by running to one of the vents and jumping on the platforms too.
