What is trine 2 complete story? Is that trine 2 + all dlc? or just the name of trine 2?
And what is the complete story upgrade? this is so confusing....

What DLC is it that ppl are talking about?

If you bought the game before our latest big patch and didn't own the dlc Goblin Menace, then the Complete Story would be just Trine 2 and to get the Goblin Menace one would be required to buy the upgrade.
As for now if you buy the Complete Story you get Trine 2 and Goblin Menace.

Trine 2 can also be played in local or online co-op.

(Just edited the multiplayer away, as what KaoS and alejandro pointed out, using the term multiplayer is a tad misleading)

Ive spent over 30 hours after 2 playthroughs and some multiplayer, so length is great. Game is a steal for the price

I don't remember valve bannig the use of DOWNLOAD DEMO button.
Is it fun? - personal preference. Watch trailers, play the demo.
Is it long? Do you rush? If so then every game is short. If you play you will put around 15 hours into base game and dlc. If you collect stuff it wil ltake longer.
There is no PVP. Multiplayer is wrong description - game is ONLY story that you can play either solo or with other ppl (local or online coop)
Valve should remove MULTIPLAYER tag for Trine 2. It's confusing since game has no multiplayer in classical meaning.

Story upgrade adds Goblin Menace DLC ONLY.

I've finished the game after 36+ hours, but that only because I'm a completitionist and got all hidden tresures and XP. Definitely well woth its prize if you like puzzle-platformers (with a lot more weigth on the "platformer" side).
Multiplayer is only co-op.
As AnniFB said (developer!) Complete Story is Trine 2+Goblin Menace (and I guess +hidden level at the end of Goblin Menace...)

Yeah, it's a bit confusing.

Trine 2: The Complete Story = Trine 2 + Goblin Menace DLC
The problem is they started distributing the DLC packaged with Trine 2, hence the name change, but it's the same app id, so it says you own the complete story even if you didn't have the DLC before, hence the upgrade, which is really still just the Goblin Menace DLC (which I bought today and showed up as such in my activity feed). They could've just added the complete story as a store option without changing the name of Trine 2, but perhaps that was confusing for other reasons or expensive or something... maybe they just really want people to have the DLC without giving it free to people who had Trine 2 before they bundled them together...

Trine 2 and Goblin Menace were merged under the same title with our latest big patch, and so they became Complete Story. That name, by mistake, replaced plain Trine 2 as well. So now everything is called Complete Story and that indeed is a bit confusing!

So those who previously didn't own Goblin Menace are still required to buy it to be able to play those levels and the new secret level. And now it's sold under the Complete Story, but as an upgrade.

And to check if you have it already or not, in Steam library you need to right click Trine 2 -> Properties -> DLC tab, if you don't have the DLC tab then you don't own the Goblin Menace and are required to buy the upgrade to play it.

Hopefully this clarifies! :)
