The controller support from Trine 2 was mainly build with Xbox 360 controllers in mind, but it should work with Logitech's controllers as well. Try connecting the controllers before launching the game to see if that helps and update your controller drivers, just to make sure it's not an issue with an outdated driver.
If that doesn't help, try binding the controllers through the in-game menu by going to Settings > Configure Controls. You can do further modifications by launching Steam in Big Picture Mode and going to Library > Trine 2 > Manage Game > Controller Configuration.
Let me know if these didn't help. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I just wanna ask you about the Big Picture Mode. I couldn't find controller config in manage section. We thought that TV option only serves for XBox and PS owners. We don't know anything about that and Trine would be a perfect game for this with 3 or 4 local players.
P.S. We're playing on Windows 10.
Hmm, that's a bit strange. The coding in Trine: Enchanted Edition and Trine 2 are extremely similar, so both controllers should work in Trine 2 as well if they worked in Enchanted Edition. Good to hear you were still able to play with a mouse instead. :)
The controller config option only shows up when the controllers are connected to the PC. Steam's Big Picture Mode is a little mysterious - for some reason proper controller configs have to be accessed there, even if you don't use Big Picture Mode to play. I'm not really sure why they're in such an inconvenient location.
