PS3 controller acts as if the left mouse button is always activated?
Greetings,

trying to set up coop environment with either two PS3 controllers or kb+m with one joystick. The problem I am having is that the player with the plugged in joystick has "left mouse action" always activated and cannot move. Only if R2 and L2 are pressed down simultaneously can the player move. While troublesome but objects can be created and moved. Seems like it should be working the other way around.

Tried looking into the configurations but did not really find a way to edit apart using someone else's configurations. Did not help.

Anyone had similar problems? or is it that only Xbox joysticks work the way they are supposed to?

Best wishes!

Sorry to hear you've had trouble using a Playstation controller! As Trine 2 is an older game and controllers were not supported at the time, there may be some wonky things happening sometimes but it should generally work or has at least worked for me with PS4 controller.

To troubleshoot a bit though, just to make sure, go to Steam big picture mode, then go to Settings > Controller Settings, and make sure you have Playstation Configuration support enabled. If that doesn't help, try the generic gamepad support to see if that helps, but if not I'd suggest mainly having the playstation one enabled if you're only using PS controllers.

If that doesn't already help, you can try enabling multiple keyboards and mice in the controller settings. Additionally, you should be able to then configure the controls separately for that. If you need to manually map the controls for your controller, you can {LINK REMOVED}.
It's a bit old, but hopefully it still helps!

Let me know if anything works! If keyboard + controller fails, at least 2 controllers would hopefully work. Apologies for the inconvenience.

This worked! Thank you for taking your time to reply :)

On a side note, my problem seems to be laying somewhere deeper as the same thing occurs for other games as well (R2/L2 being always "activated"). However, remapping in-game controls without those two worked like a charm.

Sorry to have troubled you! Hope you have a great new year :winter2019happydog:
