Game Ending Glitch ?

I think I am stuck. I am not exactly sure which level\part of the game I am in, but it is a section with acid and I am about 85% of the way through, just before the ice\snow levels I believe.

There is supposed to be a tilting platform and a giant squid is dropping acid onto. I believe I am supposed to jump on the platform to access the ledge to move on. Well, the platform see-sawed itself off to the left, entirely out of the game. So, I don't believe I have any way to continue. I restarted the last to reset things, but the platform is still missing!

Can I still move on? A picture of my predicament is below:

Sorry for the trouble!

If this is a glitch please restart the level, and you could also try to verify the game cache with the steps below. The latter should make sure the issue is not with the game's files.

right-click on Trine 2 in your Steam Library → click on Properties → choose the local files tab → click the button to verify integrity of game cache

If this didn't help just let me know and we'll look into this more!

Thank you for the reply. Sorry it took me awhile to follow up. I restarted the level and it reset. It seems the game uses actual physics - I bumped something just right and sent the thing rolling right off the screen! I am at the lost boss now - wish me luck!
