Versus Mode Not Working

Has Versus mode working for you guys using keyboard and a game-pad both are locked to Player 1?

In my quest to get my 2 player fight stick to work I also disovered this. You have to have two controllers conected for 2 player local games. There is no way to map the second players controls to the keyboard and the first controller defaults to the player one position without an option to change it. So that being said there is no way to have a local game without two controllers.
