What's all the fuss really about?
-Punch, Kick, Guard every button has its own use.
-Tekken, 4 Buttons, Left Leg, Left Arm, Right Leg, Right Arm.
-SF2 (and every game based in its control scheme) 6 Buttons, 3 for punches, 3 for kicks: Weak, Mid, Hard.
-This crap: 3 attack buttons, that could be punch or kick depending on some other factor.
Not a valid point. Since the SNES the gamepad worked well for fighting games. DualShock also good for this kind of games. This game is a good example of whats wrong with the industry, dumbing down everything for the sake of filthy casuals. They should have re-re-released MVSC2 instead (and maybe the whole series. oh well at least we can "SIM"ulate them)
6. years. SIX.
Even MvC2 was 4 buttons already...
Unless you specifically wanted a medium attack to come out, but you have to get the light attack out first. I love MvC2 and still play it to this day at my arcade but the lack of a dedicated medium always annoyed me barring specific command normals.
Hopefully MVC Infinite will have atleast jab, fierce, short, roundhouse layout (MVC2). That's light punch, heavy punch, light kick, and heavy kick to you gamepad users.
Also there are still 4 attack buttons, they're just split up by function rather than which limbs are being used.
and if you add triggers its six button.
