A ton of other Capcom games have been getting updates from Ace Attorney, to Resident Evil, to Megaman.
Its just a Steam drm getting added, and it breaks all mods which is why your game isnt opening if you have mods.
Why the hell would they add any form of copy protection after all this time?
People people were having too much fun with content they didn't make. Guess same happened to Quake 3 earlier this year or so. Had skins that I've been using since like 2000, even on Steam, and now they don't work.
And capcom is one of the worst all they do is remake older games and make the models look ugly (realistic derr). I don’t wanna buy no more capcom crap cept the old re’s.
Well that might be why literally millions of kids and youngsters just gather around overwatch, csgo, rust, gta and other uninteresting piles of garbage.
Apparently they do: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MT_Framework?useskin=vector#Games_using_MT_Framework
The modding base has not been active. Regardless the reason for the update, its too risky to brick the game for some unknown update.
