Is my team comp any good?

Depends on the assists but if you're playing just to maximize Wesker then it's fine. Be aware that Wesk and Akuma are both low tier though at least Akuma's tatsu is one of the best assists in the game.

Basically the team is front loaded but perfectly functional and has synergy with the right assists though is low tier overall.

Just keep in mind a freaking Chun Li point team won the last Evo and she's low tier and two years ago a Hulk/Hagar/Sentinal team won and that team is all low tier so playing a team you like and are comfortable with is more important than whether a team is "good" as long as the team is functional and has synergy.

Haha Zero would be way stronger but only if you like playing him. Wesker isn't bad or anything and he actually has a decent matchup against Zero who's top tier so if you like Wesker I'd stick with him.

Akuma is the real weak spot on the team anyway but as long as he doesn't have to do any work on point his assist is awesome.

LMAO, good troll. Wesker hasn't been anywhere close to the best since vanilla MVC3 and is definitely at best mid tier currently. As far as Akuma again it sounds like you're thinking of vanilla and not ultimate because Akuma's only reason for being on a team at this point is tatsu. Best description I've ever heard of him is that if he opened you up it's because you messed up.

Yeah I could see Wesker as upper mid with the right assists. Low was definitely an exageration but since the gap between low and mid is significantly smaller than the gap between high and mid I just call everything that isn't high, low. :P

Akuma I believe is solidy low if we're just talking fighting on point, factoring in his assist though mid might be fair.

Honestly I think if you just dropped Akuma for Strider on your current team that would be a huge upgrade on allot of levels. Wesk can confirm for a full combo when Vajra tags an opponent in the air same as Doom and Strider is undoubtedly a top tier anchor. He also helps keep opponents on the ground where Wesk is actually threatening and allows you to mix up opponents that are playing keep away in the air just by dashing/teleporting around under them after calling Strider.
Virgil would also be an upgrade and Doom/Vergil is one of the best shells though his assist isn't nearly as useful as Vajra.

FWIW I have a friend that's played Wesker since vanilla and his team for awhile now after playing around with various pairings has been Wesk/Vergil/Strider. Works pretty well though is extremely meter hungry. Personally I think the team would be better with Doom in the second spot for TAC's but he doesn't like the character so never tried him.

wesker is mid tier, you need a TAC infinite with doom to do any real damage though. play wesker(gun)/doom(beam)/akuma(tatsu) and you're good. fish for command grabs
