Galactus that badass
Encountered him for the first time yesterday. Got my A@@ handled well to me. Guess it's about throwing projectiles and blocking. You still take heavy damage for blocking! Guess it makes sense due to his size....

Phase 1 - Heralds it's 1v1 with doom then 2v1 with wesker.....once you get hit by either one of them with a launcher, you'll be rewarded with a character that's almost dead. I choose to level up abit and end the fight with a hyper hadouken

Phase 2 - Galactus just sticks to the right of the screen...slaps the ground with left palm and right palm....can kill you in a few hits....you won't last long even when blocked........and....when he goes to the center of the screen, he can grab you with 2 hands......is it even avoidable? I tried high jump and doesn't work...and high jumps doesn't seem to work here....seems that you can only do normal jumps

Phase 3 - goes to the right of the screen, beams you with his right hand finger. The beam is the size of your hyper hadouken. Or mabbe larger, I tried to high jump and do a hyper hadouken, 10-hits before ryu sends flying....

Phase 4 - I think this is unavoidable as well, he goes into charging mode....I thought I could block it.....bad move. I got rewarded with a continue screen instead.

This is really a difficult boss compared to the previous 2 bosses like onsalught & green/red goo. At least those you could cheese through by doing Hyper move projectiles. You could for the same, but to a lesser degree.
Com'on Galactus, come down to earth, reduce ur size and fight like a man, stop fighting like a god. and....no using X-factor!

as a beginner myself I'd suggest to change your team for the boss fight. team blueriver (haggar, hulk, sentinel) works good against him with their big health stock. you could also try Phoenix as your anchor and wait until you get 5 meters for Dark Phoenix + X-Factor. characters with fly-mode can also help to avoid his attacks.

Good advice....your team blueriver obviously aren't projectile users. so you dash forward and melee him and block when ur about to get slapped? is that it?

Tbh you don't need projectiles to win against Galactus. You can dodge most of his moves (Not all of them, just most) by doing a Super Jump (Pressing down then up rapidly, you'll know when you do it if your character goes more than twice the height as normal)

I've beaten both phases of Galactus using only Phoenix Wright on my team on Very Hard before, it's definitely possible to win without projectiles.

Oh, and another thing, be careful about his OHKO moves. They can be interrupted if you give him enough damage, but doing so is pretty hard and I'd recommend calling in teammates (Or if you have the meter, press in both assist buttons for a Team Hyper Combo)

Vergil, Doom, and Dante has insane damage against Galactus.

Just tried against him using projectile team - iron man, doom, sentinel. Damn it was too easy. And i agree with the post above, doom does unusually high damage beam against the big guy for some reason

*Found a possibility an easier method"
Quickly end the first fight by beating up the first herald, once it's 2v1, throw a hyper. Right after that, go as near as the boss as you can, jump and do combos while avoiding his hand slams (there's a pattern to it, just observe), it's easy to block his hand slams as long as you don't do 'long' moves.
Once you beat him until he pause/coughs, activate your X and do a crossover combination combo at the next opportunity - like after finger beams etc.
