UMvC3 TIPS TRICKS AND COMBOS!

A good way to learn is from other people, so let's put our favorite combos and tips here for the experienced and the noobs alike!

An easy combo for almost any character, is: S, M, M, H, S

If you press any two attack buttons at the same time, you'll do a dash. If you dash, crouch, and dash again, you'll do something I call (but there's probably a specific name for,) a "Wave-Dash".

To do a team arial combo, attack them in the air until it says "Air Combo". At that point, press "Forward S" to keep going in the air, or "Forward H" to slam them into the ground.

To do a team arial counter, when they start the team air combo, press "S".

To do a throw, stand next to your opponent (Either in the air or on the ground), and press "Forward Attack" for a front throw, or "Backward Attack" for a back throw.

there is no Forward H for a TAC.
You press down+j.S, Forward+j.S, or Up+j.S.

To counter a TAC you don't have to just press S you have to press S plus (+) the direction.
Which means if they do a down+j.S you have to press down+j.S as well.

What attack? you're not helping anyone. you press forward or back H to grab someone.

Don't forget about snap backs, tech hits, THCs, DHCs, short hops, rolling, taunting, baking cakes, initiating missile strikes, etc.

How could this game only have 3 buttons? how is that even possible? so how do you kick or punch?

There is light, medium, heavy, and special. Depending on the character they will either have a punch or kick. For example, Dante uses a sword so you have a light medium, and heavy sword attack, and his moves vary through different directions of the stick and inputs. Ryu and Akuma can do kicks, but its limited to usually medium, like forward medium for Ryu, or if hes crouching i believe its light. Little moves like that dont matter that much in this game as footsies isnt really a big focus on this game.

the game has 6 buttons

L, M, H, S, Assist 1, Assist 2

It's a serious downgrade. Marvel 2 had the best buttons.
