16 GB? AFAIK PS4 version size was 4.2 GB
I just saw the System Requirements and i'm shocked that the game needs 16 GB of HDD having in mind that PS4 version required 4.2 GB aprox. (as indicated in PSN Store).

It could be that PC version will have 4K textures or something like that (i doubt it, but who knows).

Just be happy we are atleast getting this on PC

The most likely of reasons is because the PC is the king of graphics I expect 4K Textures

ehhh not that big of a deal to me I got plenty of space. I'm just happy to have it on PC.

Yeah I doubt anybody really cares that this game is 16GB the PC has superior graphics so that could be why, in any event who cares?

For all we know the PS4 version is probably running a upscaled PS3 port of 720p textures.

Infact looking at Iron Man's photon cannon I can guarantee the PS4 is running a outdated 720p version it looks very rushed.

Don't worry, i'm not complaining. It's just that i find it curious because it's an old game which uses MT Framework and while on PS4 weights 4.2 GB on PC will weight almost 4 times more.

Not a problem for me, in 1 hour i'll have it pre-loaded/downloaded.

BTW, anybody knows when is CAPCOM going to enable the pre-purchase?

The PS4 version is really a trash port of 720p textures. Its very easy to see, Iron man's photon cannon is a perfect example.

Injustice 1 on PC weighs like 10GB and its native 1080p

So UMVC3 weighing 16GB at 1080p isn't too far fetched either.

Its also probably less space but Capcom could be saying 16GB just for precaution incase of releasing patches.

Also this MT framework running UMVC3 looks incredible infact it looks better than SFV on UE4 but then that could be due to the fact that Ono has no clue what he is doing and he hires artists who are unqualified in 3D modeling

As a matter of fact I am glad UMVC3 isn't 4.5GB because right now something like skull girls or KOF 13 weighs around 4.8 GB and those are just 2D sprites.

So this is good news that UMVC3 is 16GB

It puts my mind at ease knowing Capcom didn't cheap out on graphics

Let's hope so, since IIRC SFV outsourced a bunch of it's art design and we ended up with Ken's face (among other stuff). Not sure about 4K textures though, it seems Capcom would save that for Infinite since that's the game that will get future support.

^ SFV is a train wreck even Chris G called it Aids on his live stream. He cited Akuma looking like Mufasa and said SFV is AIDS.

Capcom is so clueless with SFV everytime I look at SFV and I see how hedious the art looks, Alex looks like a vagrant and Ken's face omg never have I see anything more hedious

Just thinking about it makes me so angry.

Luckily for us MVC3 was designed under supervision from Marvel and their comic book artists ensured the game remained true to comic book art style so we got lucky with MVC3 which is why its a much older game than SFV yet looks so much better.

I just checked my games list and Injustice 1 takes up 20GB of HDD Space.

That means UMVC3 is on track and is a 1080p game while the PS4 was Not.

I would tell the same as uraizen. This can be uncompressed audio and or texture to easy on CPU resource when loading it. This way they can achieve better performance on gaming laptops or dual core CPUs.

Modern CPU has absolutely no problem with compressed textures and audio.

A PS4 runs a trash AMD tablet CPU at 1.6ghz

The average Intel Pentium is better than that nonsense.

Its 16GB because it features 1080p textures on PC or more likely 1440p the PS4 port was a upscaled PS3 720p port we know this because the PS3 version was about that size.

Even injustice 1 on PC is 20GB

Well, I agree with you about modern cpu thing but I think that is what metters for a dev when they developing something to make money from that, what they want would be that even 2009, 2010 cpu and gpu generation (as you can see GTX 260 on minimum requisite) or even lower specs systems be capable to run this. I remember when Titanfall launched and no one knew why it had a massive size difference when compared to Xbox version and the cause pointed was uncompressed audio.

Yes I remember Titanfall very well and its insane size due to uncompressed Audio. But Titanfall was developed by idiots who made COD so its to be expected, Capcom is much more educated than this.
