The most likely of reasons is because the PC is the king of graphics I expect 4K Textures
For all we know the PS4 version is probably running a upscaled PS3 port of 720p textures.
Infact looking at Iron Man's photon cannon I can guarantee the PS4 is running a outdated 720p version it looks very rushed.
Not a problem for me, in 1 hour i'll have it pre-loaded/downloaded.
BTW, anybody knows when is CAPCOM going to enable the pre-purchase?
Injustice 1 on PC weighs like 10GB and its native 1080p
So UMVC3 weighing 16GB at 1080p isn't too far fetched either.
Its also probably less space but Capcom could be saying 16GB just for precaution incase of releasing patches.
Also this MT framework running UMVC3 looks incredible infact it looks better than SFV on UE4 but then that could be due to the fact that Ono has no clue what he is doing and he hires artists who are unqualified in 3D modeling
So this is good news that UMVC3 is 16GB
It puts my mind at ease knowing Capcom didn't cheap out on graphics
Let's hope so, since IIRC SFV outsourced a bunch of it's art design and we ended up with Ken's face (among other stuff). Not sure about 4K textures though, it seems Capcom would save that for Infinite since that's the game that will get future support.
Capcom is so clueless with SFV everytime I look at SFV and I see how hedious the art looks, Alex looks like a vagrant and Ken's face omg never have I see anything more hedious
Just thinking about it makes me so angry.
Luckily for us MVC3 was designed under supervision from Marvel and their comic book artists ensured the game remained true to comic book art style so we got lucky with MVC3 which is why its a much older game than SFV yet looks so much better.
That means UMVC3 is on track and is a 1080p game while the PS4 was Not.
Modern CPU has absolutely no problem with compressed textures and audio.
A PS4 runs a trash AMD tablet CPU at 1.6ghz
The average Intel Pentium is better than that nonsense.
Its 16GB because it features 1080p textures on PC or more likely 1440p the PS4 port was a upscaled PS3 720p port we know this because the PS3 version was about that size.
Even injustice 1 on PC is 20GB
