How long is the game?!
How many levels is the game and how long did it took you to finish it?

There is the tutorial, followed by 14 levels and a bonus level, Haven't done the bonus yet, though.
The tutorial already has a bit of experience to find, but no secrets. So one could even consider it a "real" level.

As for time -- I'm a thorough (or so I believe), careful and slow player, so my time might not be what you're looking for. I played all levels several times to collect all the items and experience as well.

ZeitGeistReview (whose reviews I like to watch when he has one for a game that I'm looking at) claims he played it in about 8 hours -- I don't know whether he replayed levels to find everythiing, though. In general, I think the more familiar you are with platformers and the overall mechanics, the faster you can do it; as usual, Youtube has videos from players pulling off stunts in rapid succession that I would have to carefully plan and try many times. So, playing skill is a big factor in the "time needed" :-)

On the other hand, I don't buy games to complete them as fast as possible (even though it means I can play something else :-))

"Going fast" COULD cause problems.

In general, you can most certainly just concentrate on going from A to B and smashing all the skeletons that get in your way. However, you'll probably miss some or all items ("secrets"), and a good deal of experience as well -- experience, in turn, allows you to level up your characters and improve their skills, and some items can be quite useful (in fact, one even caused Pontius to wonder "what happened to that trinket that allowed us to ..." in Trine 2 :-)).

Still, not all skills are absolutely required, and the final level is sufficiently tame. Either that, or I was sufficiently geared up as I had all skills and all items :-)

Usually, when I get a free game that I don't like, I just don't play it :-) Or really any game, although for bought games the problem is usually something that I can try to resolve "externally".

I find almost all the sectets in the levels and get these green bottles as much i can. But i don't like being stuck at one place trying to get that one exp.

And the reason i want to play it because it's not a bad game. I just don't enjoy it as much as other people do.

I get a lot of games from places like Humble Indie Bundle and i would like to play all. Plus i have already played 3-4 of trine 2 before trine 1, so i don't really care for spoillers and such.

Thank you for the extra information ;)

Is it ok to do a second playthrough? I mean, I finished the game in 3 days. And even though I tried to get every secret and experience, I couldn't. Maybe I should try again.

Depends on you :-) You can, most certainly, play any level again to look for stuff you missed. I've done that -- a lot. And in Trine 2 there's still a good deal of exp that I haven't found...

And while Trine doesn't save your progress within a level, it does remember all the experience and items collected, so you don't even have to finish the levels.

I just finished the game 100% and Steam says I played it 27 hours.

The campaign itself isn't long at all. The first time you play it takes 4 to 8 hours (taking the "visible" itens and a few secrets) as you are not used to the mechanics and powers of each character. I recommend to play on Easy, as most of the achievements don't have skill level requirements.

OK, after the first gameplay, you probably would like to explore the game, taking everything you can and blazing the achievements one by one. For this, you have two options:

1) If, like me, you fell confortable searching the secrets, you will spend a lot of time finding itens, XP, secrets, and completing the achievements. This may take from 15 to 30 hours depending of your skill, organization and insight to find secrets.

2) The other way is just look at some walkthrough on YouTube or find some guides. This way, you probably wont spend more than 10 hours to do everything related to the game.

Now for the best part.... Remember that campaign that took 4 to 8 hours to finish? There's a achievement for you playing all levels on Very Hard dificulty. You will take less than 2 hours to play it entirely on Very Hard, mostly because you won't need to get those "annoying hidden hard to get" XP bottles.

Wish it helps you guys.
