Problems with a XBOX-Controller

I have problems playing this game with a controller. When I boot up the game with the controller plugged it, it somehow doesn't let me choose the controller as possible way to control? I don't know how this is possible since the controller works in other games. I hope someone has a solution

Not sure what could be the problem but it seems to work just fine with my Xbox 360 wireless controllers. I had to go into the game and change it from keyboard and mouse to xbox 360 controller and then click apply before it would work though. After that it works just fine. it does not default to the controller even if it is active when you start the game it has to be changed in the game.

Mine works fine, but I remember I had to go to settings —> controller, and click over "Keyboard + Mouse" to change it to "Gamepad".

Already tried... it just dont change to gamepad.

I had this problem too. To resolve it, I had to do the following:

When you launch the game it brings up the box to adjust resolution etc. Click on the advanced button, then tick the 'enable multiple mice+keyboard controller' checkbox.

If you then launch the game, you can go into options, controller settings and when you click keyboard and mouse on P1, it will change to Xbox 360 controller.

it doesn't work form me. I own an Xbox wired controller, have ticked the multiple mice box, and the still doesn't detect my gamepad. Any ideas?

Xbox360 controllers should work in Trine without issues, but let's see if we can find out what's wrong with your setup. Are you using any kind of special gamepad drivers or emulators, like {LINK REMOVED}x360ce? If so, try to disable/remove them and see if it helps.

Just to be sure this isn't a confusion with how our controller menu works, here's a quick guide:
1) Click "Options" in the main menu
2) Click "Controller configuration..."
3) Click on "Mouse + Keyboard 1", this should now change into "Gamepad 1"
4) Click "Change" to save the changes
