Hast du schon die Dateien durch Steam überprüft?
Geh in Dein Installationsverzeichnis und starte dort die trine_launcher.exe. Damit gings dann bei mir.
Firstly sorry for the delay. There has been a lot of messages in our mailbox and on forums that have taken a lot of time to answer. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Also sounds like you're trying to play Trine, but get an error code instead? Is this true? If this is the issue please go through these possible workarounds as they might help. You can just skip the steps you tried already.
Please also note that the below instructions are for Trine Enchanted Edition. So, if you're trying to play the original game instead, please let me know!
1. Check the Game's Files
This will make sure the problem isn't with the game's local files. You can do this easily by following these steps through Steam:
Note that also reinstalling the game might be worth a try.
2. Try Different Options
Please try if choosing different options from the game's launcher would help. I recommend at least trying to launch the game in Windowed mode and lowering the graphics settings.
3. Delete options.txt
This will reset the game's options which might help to make the game run. You can find the options.txt file by pasting the following to your Windows Explorer:
4. Launch the Executable
If you already did this, please at least try to launch the game's .exe in compatibility mode. You can find the trine1_32bit.exe by doing the following:
5. Disable Minidump
If nothing else helps, please also try to turn off the minidump feature. This Steam feature sometimes interferes with games, so it could be at the fault here. Here is how to disable it:
- Right-click on Trine in your Steam Library
- Select Properties
- Click "Set Launch Options"
- Write the following inside the text box: -disableMinidump
Remember to include the minus sign there as well. Please note that if this workaround doesn't help it might be best to disable it by clearing the text from the box again. If nothing above helped, please email us and we'll look into this!
When you email us please include any logs you can find from the following folder:
Especially .dmp files might help us to look into this.
If you email us please also link this thread to your message, so we know it's you. You can email us at Support[at]Frozenbyte[dot]com.
Let me know if you have any questions, or just how it goes. Cheers!
