there no save point in 350
He can't kill you in a single hit, you regen health over time and he can't move if you're watching
(He'll still damage you if you get too close).
He's a bit frustrating at the moment because you have to slow down a lot, but the basic pattern is walk backwards keeping your eye on him, and if you take damage while going from one room to another watch him and wait for your hp to regen.
After room 300 or so it switches to a save point every 100 rooms. The timing is a bit awkward since most people seem to die to the puppet the first time since you have to treat him so differently than the other monsters.
