Its cutouts are varied: a green or purple slime, a ghost, a spider, a tree stump, a pumpkin, or a skeleton. The green slime becomes a bit scarier in the later levels, having been painted over to have a brown wrinkled face, black eyes, and white pupils with a gaping maw. The other cutouts don't do this, however. This new cutout doesn't really appear to do anything new.
Gameplay
Specimen 1 randomly appears in front of you, accompanied by a loud noise. This does not actually harm the player character, and is only for a minor scare. Sometimes there will be a note left by a past victim attached to the front of Specimen 1.
The only way these could ever be worrying is if it happens during a chase, as Specimen 1 is solid, and the initial shock can make the player pause for a second, giving the other actually harmful Specimen some time to catch up.
Trivia
This is probably the only Specimen to be seen in the first 50 rooms.
According to the Specimen Database on the CAT-DOS, there have been 4 times a person has died of a heart attack from Specimen 1.
The ghost variant of Specimen 1 appears in the December update art, and is implied to be at least partially responsible for killing Santa Claus.
The corrupted face of the green slime resembles SCP-106, a creature from the SCP Foundation website, as well as the SCP: Containment Breach game based on it.
The skeleton cutout may be a joke about the popular meme "And then a skeleton popped out", usually associated with trollpastas.
Specimen 1 is the specimen that has the least fatalities, only having 4.
Specimen 2 is the first hostile enemy encountered in Spooky's House of Jump Scares. It first appears at room 60.
Specimen 2 Chase
"UNKNOWN HUG", Specimen 2's chase theme.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Specimen 2 seems to be a ghastly figure composed of a dark green slime. Its body seems somewhat skinny, legless, and has only the left arm (which looks like it's reaching for the player). Its only facial feature is a gaping mouth full of teeth that is always open.
Gameplay
Specimen 2 first appears in room 60, either after reading the note on the table, or after leaving the room. The note, in red ink reads:
"Spouting, Splashing, Soaking.
Innards, Ingest, Invoking.
Nailing, Never, stops the Choking"
The player will immediately hear a choking sound and Specimen 2 will begin the chase. While being chased, dark green puddles will be spawned in the following rooms, and significantly slow down the player. If they appear in hallways, they may be unavoidable.
Specimen 2 deals 50 damage on contact and can float through walls and over holes or pools. After getting the Axe the player can use it to shove Specimen 2 away, buying them a few seconds to outrun it.
When the player dies to Specimen 2, they will be presented with a screen rapidly flashing red and grey with text reading:
"I know what you have done, and what you have yet to do. But it's alright, because I'm inside you now. We are one but I am many...".
CAT-DOS records Specimen 2 as being most effective against slower subjects.
Trivia
Specimen 2 may have once been a visitor (most common theory being the Romantic victim) to the estate; as the creature makes a disturbing choking noise, the note on its table ("Never stops the Choking") may have been written by itself during a midway stage of its mutation.
This means that Specimen 2 may have written any number of the notes found by the player.
Specimen 2 bears a resemblance to the true form of the Lub-Glub monsters from Adventure Time. Specimen 3 is a hostile enemy encountered in the GL Labs starting at Room 120.
WRITHING SNEEZES
"WRITHING SNEEZES", Specimen 3's chase theme.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Specimen 3 is a dark-brown, bug-like creature that resembles an arachnid with four distinguishable segments. Each body segment sports two legs, one on each side. Its head segment has eight dark-green eyes and bears five sets of pincers.
Gameplay
Specimen 3 appears for the first time after the player reads the Generic Lab Assistant's note. It does about 20-30 damage and creates holes in the ceiling during the chases. It crawls rather than floating, and may or may not be slightly faster than Specimen 2.
Specimen 3 appears from dark holes in the ceiling, or drop down from the ceiling in the dark chambers.
Hitting Specimen 3 with the axe will stun it for a few seconds, before resuming its chase.
According to the CAT-DOS, it was in testing before it escaped and killed the Generic Lab Assistant.
Trivia
Specimen 3 is inspired by the game Resident Evil.
In the lab Specimen 3 broke out of, there are 4 creatures still contained. These are believed to be subjects 1-4.
At one point, there was a bug where Specimen 3 would get stuck in the floor. This appears to have been fixed.
It appears to the Player after the area where the Generic Lab Assistant was killed. The Assistant claims to have heard a clicking noise before he died. After reading the note, a clicking noise is heard, and Specimen 3 enters the room and chases the player.
Specimen 3 is referred to in notes written by the generic lab assistant as "Subject 5" which has caused many people to be confused as to which Specimen the lab assistant was talking about.
If the player dies from Specimen 3, there will be a crash. (update 2.3)
Specimen 3 doesn't have a Death Screen. Specimen 4 is a hostile enemy encountered at Room 166 Appearance
It appears to be a girl with long, messy black hair and pale-white skin. Her fingers extend into claws that are stained red with what appears to be blood. Specimen 4 also has no eyes and a black, abnormally wide mouth. She wears a light, grayish-blue garment with wrist-length sleeves and a white sash around her waist. Its legs and feet are completely black.
Gameplay
She resides in the abandoned Japanese school area. Whether this area is an actual school, a fake one made by the GL Labs and Spooky, or Specimen 4 controlling the place is unknown. At the end of Room 166, the player will hear a death rattle, then a long sigh, following by Specimen 4's first appearance in the game.
Specimen 4 does 35 damage. It can float, and goes through walls. It seems to be a simple chase monster with no special abilities. During the chase, the player may hear her laughing, humming a lullaby or even whispering to them "Come here" or "Stop".
When Specimen 4 kills the player, a picture of its face will appear, which quickly consumes the player's vision. Then the scene cuts to an image of her stomach visibly enlarged, with the notes:
"Hush now my child, you're safe now."
Trivia
Specimen 4 apparently killed a girl named Matsuri prior to being relocated to Spooky's house.
Before 2.7.1 update her death screen says "Hush now my child, your safe now." where the word "you're" was noticeably misspelled.
She appears to follow the trope of women turned into malevolent spirits, who often stalk the protagonists in various Japanese horror media (such as Ju-on: the Grudge, The Ring, etc.). Like those ghosts, Specimen 4 features several of their characteristics: long black hair, pale skin, dark eyes, and white clothing.
The rooms in which Specimen 4 appears was greatly based on japanese horror RPGs, particuliarly the Corpse Party games.
She and Specimen 1 are the only Specimen that don't have a theme when chasing the player.
However, she still produces her own in-game sounds, upon noticing the player.
The number 4 is heavily avoided in Japan, due to it being pronounced exactly like the word death. Specimen 4 is a possible reference to this. Specimen 5 is a hostile enemy encountered starting at room 210.
According to the CAT-DOS, Specimen 5 was found in an abandoned church before the events of the game. Its behavior before its containment is unknown.
Specimen 5 Chase
"LUSTING STRAWBERRY", Specimen 5's chase theme.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Specimen 5 is a tall, faceless, humanoid creature with hoof-like feet and no face. It lacks hands and has a large, red-brown blade attached to its right wrist. Specimen 5's body appears to be feminine in shape and its skin looks as if it's made out of either paper or a parchment of some sort. It wears no clothes or accessories of any kind.
CAT-DOS claims its killing method is unknown, but notes vaguely that it is "effective against subjects with weaker wills or mental issues".
Gameplay
Specimen 5 will appear starting at room 210. Though it is very slow, it deals roughly 60 points of damage.
Specimen 5's most dangerous ability manifests as hallucinations. On the chase, the player's vision will become foggy and the walls, floor, and doors will occasionally become animated rivers of blood. Though the blood effect comes and goes; The fog, however, persists once triggered, until the player has escaped Specimen 5 completely.
Trivia
Before January 2015, Specimen 5 created much thicker fog than it does now, slowed the player's movement speed, and had no blood texture effect. This was considered frustrating as it led to problems even seeing the exit door of any given room.
Specimen 5 is most likely an homage to Silent Hill - particularly Silent Hill 2 - which is known for its rusty, bloody metallic rooms, foggy environments (especially the Foggy Room) and visceral hallucinations.
The specimen itself somewhat resembles the nurses and the mannequins from Silent Hill 2.
The sword attached to its right wrist highly resembles the great knife Pyramid Head carries from Silent Hill 2.
A faint siren can be heard when Specimen 5 is giving chase, further supporting this theory.
The specimen's ability to manipulate the player's senses implies that the player character has a weak will or a mental issue, at least according to CAT-DOS.
The notes around the area where it is first found, as well as its effectiveness against those with weak wills, suggest that it may be the "mother" of the cult in room 210. It could be the darkness that was unleashed as the girl sacrificed was not pure (virgin) and now the world is in danger. Specimen 6, known to some fans as Ben (see Trivia) or The Merchant, is a hostile enemy encountered in Spooky's House of Jump Scares, starting at room 310.
Specimen 6 is said to be most effective against "subjects that disregard it and/or have visual impairments."
Specimen 6 Chase
"The Merchant", Specimen 6's chase theme.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Specimen 6 is a life-sized wooden puppet wearing a brown tunic and gray pants, with a needle in one hand and strings on both arms. Though his face initially bears a smile, he will suddenly switch to a frighteningly angry face at random intervals.
Gameplay
Specimen 6 is first encountered at room 310. He will be standing right in the middle of the room as though greeting the player.
Astute players will notice that Specimen 6 at first does not seem to move - but will turn to continuously face the player. This is because he does not move while he is within the player's sight, nor can he spawn from a door the player is looking at.
However, as soon as the player looks away, Specimen 6 will quickly approach from behind (with a clicking wooden noise) and begin attacking, and he can spawn from doors the player is not looking at.
For this reason, it is important that players exercise caution whenever in a room with several doors and Specimen 6 hasn't yet spawned. He is able to walk through walls, like most other specimens. He can also be knocked out with the axe.
Upon losing all of one's health to Specimen 6, a long scene will show a needle approaching a quivering eye. Before the eye is punctured, the scene will change to the text:
"To become a puppet is to rid oneself of the pain and harshness of choice. Now nothing you do is your fault, now you belong to something... You belong to me..."
Lore
There was once a traveling merchant. He made handmade puppets and trinkets. His shop was adored by children, but his business became so successful as to disturb the economy and invoke the wrath and scorn of local shopkeepers.
The shopkeepers and townspeople tossed his puppets into the river, at which point the merchant screamed that his children were being drowned, and dove in to rescue them. As a result, he drowned as well.
After his death, the children of the village began to disappear one by one, to be replaced by puppets in their own image. Specimen 6 was eventually found floating in a reservoir where there was once a town.
Trivia
Specimen 6 is one of the 3 Specimens to be made using 3D models instead of 2D art.
However, his in-game model is still flat, and appears to be 2D up close.
Specimen 6's facial expressions perfectly match those of the Happy Mask Salesman from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, who in both games switched from a somewhat disturbing smile to a startlingly angry face under specific circumstances.
His clothing may also be a reference to the Nintendo 64 era of Zelda games, in which several NPC's wore similar simple outfits.
His drowning in the backstory may be a reference to Ben Drowned, an infamous Majora's Mask creepypasta.
Specimen 6's movement only when the player is not looking is similar to SCP-173, one of the most famous specimens from the SCP Foundation.
Spooky's House of Jump Scares in and of itself bears parallels to SCP: Containment Breach - both games feature dangerous and mystical creatures and artifacts that soon break loose from a formal containment.
This movement could also be based off the Weeping Angels from the TV series Doctor Who, who move quickly when they aren't being observed.
One of the masks hung on the walls of his lair resembles the YouTube personality CryaoticMonkey.
The series of rooms that immediately precede his appearance and shortly afterward strongly resemble the Shadow Temple and the Bottom of the Well from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Specimen 6 also seems to be based off of a wooden posable drawing figure. Specimen 7 is a hostile enemy encountered first at room 410, which from the player's perspective spans several rooms.
Specimen 7 Chase
"STRANGE WIGGLES", Specimen 7's chase theme.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Specimen 7's apparent form adjusts based on the history of its intended victim - the "subject".
Gameplay
Shortly into room 410, a mysterious Cat gives a cryptic warning. Upon entering the door, the player must run through a series of twisted corridors with shifting images along the walls, and Specimen 7 is now giving chase.
CAT-DOS states that it is "only effective on subjects with a past trauma or mental issues".
Bugs
Rarely, Specimen 7 can turn into a normal wall.
Sometimes, the Rooms which Specimen 7 "corrupted" seem to be very glitchy.
Trivia
The Cat's relation to Specimen 7 is unknown; for some time the cat was suspected to be Specimen 7, and may indeed be a part or a consequence of its existence, sort of like a psychic Good Cop/Bad Cop.
Specimen 7 is visually similar to Giygas's final form from Earthbound (or Mother 2), while its behavior may be a reference to a similar mind-world flesh wall chase from Penumbra: Black Plague.
Specimen 7's name: "The Wall of Flesh" is also the same name used by a boss from another game called Terraria.
In the 2.5 update, the player no longer stays in room 410 for the duration of the chase. The rooms now progress.
Specimen 7 doesn't have a Death Screen.
This is currently the only specimen that can be encountered one time only.
It is the second specimen that can instantly kill the player on contact, the first one being Specimen 9Specimen 8 is a hostile enemy encountered in Spooky's House of Jump Scares, starting at Room 550. According to the CAT-DOS, it is a horrifying deer-like creature that was found in a test chamber after it was filled with unusually violent deer. It engulfs subjects and absorbs them into its torso. Proved extremely effective against violent subjects.
Specimen 8 Chase
"Your Consenting Mind", Specimen 8's theme with static.
Your Consenting Mind Clean
"Your Consenting Mind", without static.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Specimen 8 resembles a deer with multiple sharp, long antlers. Its skin is a dark tan color, and its eyes have no pupils along with a black sclera.
It wears a black cloak to cover its body at first. But by approaching the player, it will reveal multiple faces inside its body.
Gameplay
Specimen 8 is encountered 8 rooms after room 550. The screen will be covered in static and Specimen 8 will begin to chase the player.
Attempting to attack Specimen 8 with the axe will deal no damage. Specimen 8 will also say a number of demonic phrases while chasing the player. One of the phrases sounds like "You slayed my children." Since Specimen 8 means the Deer, this could be the reason it chases the player. However, it will chase the player regardless of whether or not the player slayed any deer in the previous rooms. This may be because Specimen 8 is referring to the human race in general when it says 'you', as deer are hunted for food around the world. Another phrase sounds like "Join us.", leading many people to believe that Specimen 8 wants the player to join the previous victims that were absorbed by it.
It deals approximately 30 damage per hit. If Specimen 8 hits the player, the screen flashes different images, sometimes a picture of Specimen 8 himself.
When Specimen 8 is chasing the player, a glitchy, static type overlay will appear.
When the player is killed by Specimen 8, the screen shows text that says:
"And I saw, from eyes that were not mine.
And I felt, with a fear I could not reason.
They watch us, they invade us.
And keep us happy, committing treason.
To a King we didn't deserve.
To a Son who waits weeping.
That I knew, from knowledge gained while sleeping."
Trivia
Specimen 8 closely resembles the mythical creature called the Wendigo, a mythical deer-like creature particularly associated with cannibalism.
It also has a resemblance to the Church Grim (Kyrkogrim), a creature from Scandinavian folklore that was recently used in the point-and-click horror game Year Walk.
It also slightly resembles The Beast from Over the Garden Wall.
Specimen 8's design looks similar to Herne the Hunter, a ghost from English folklore who wears a robe and has antlers on his head.
The "absorption" may be a reference to a popular app/game called "Alpaca Evolution"
The text that appears on Specimen 8's death screen may contain a reference to Bambi, as it mentions committing treason on a King, and a weeping, perhaps mourning, son.
The visual disruptions are similar to the effects of SCP-895
On a SCP-related note,it's appearance similiarly looks like SCP-1471-A
Specimen 9 is a randomly encountered trap in Spooky's House of Jump Scares. It can appear anywhere from Room 51 onwards.
Where it was originally encountered and how it was contained is unknown, but it was supposedly killed and dismantled by GL Labs due to it being too difficult to contain. Despite this, once encountered it appears to be in excellent health - it is currently the only specimen that cannot be escaped once met and is guaranteed to kill the player.
Specimen
"AMPUTATED MARSHMALLOW" Plays when Specimen 9 rushes to the player.
Specimen ... Death
"SOUR LEMON" Plays when Specimen 9 kills the player.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Gameplay
Starting from room 51, players may occasionally enter a room branched into three paths: the way the player entered, the correct door to the left, a dead end to the right, and a long dark hallway straight ahead.
Traveling down the dark hallway will cause the walls to close in until the player can no longer move. After another second or two, Specimen 9 will appear at the end of the hall, then turns and rushes to the player with a disturbing, electronic sound and rapidly rush to the player, filling the screen with its face, most of the screen is red, and a huge wall of text composed solely of "TAKE THE DEAD TO" which references the fact that Specimen 9 "Takes the dead" to take more dead/victims.
Trivia
Specimen 9 appears to have modified or corrupted its own CAT-DOS entry, implying it has psychic or supernatural powers.
This is the first specimen that can instantly kill the player (since it can be encountered from Room 51 onwards, while Specimen 7 can only appear in Room 410 onwards).
There was once a bug, when the player enters the hallway above from room 100, that the hallway ends with an pitch-black void, the player could get easily lost if entering. This seems to be fixed now.
Specimen 9 is the only specimen as of the newest update deemed so hard to contain that it had to be dismantled. Specimen 10 was a hostile enemy that resided in the abandoned GL Labs' Facility starting at Room 610.
WRITHING SNEEZES
"WRITHING SNEEZES", Specimen 10's chase theme.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Specimen 10 appears to be a large, floating worm. It is made of various distinguishable segments. Specimen 10's front-most segment appears to have black eyes and, in its gaping mouth, many sharp fangs. Its skin is pale and appears to be slimy.
Gameplay (before 2.7.1)
Before the 2.7.1 update, Specimen 10 appeared around Room 617, after the player used the generator, it would begin to chase the player. Specimen 10 couldn't go through walls.
Hitting Specimen 10 with the axe didn't harm it, it only made a noise.
Specimen 10 dealt about 20-30 damage on contact. It crept rather than floated, and it was quite slow.
According to its old CAT-DOS entry, Specimen 10 was active, and its fatalities were 46.
Gameplay (current)
Following the 2.7.1 update, it returns as a passive specimen, as stated by the CAT-DOS:
"A worm like creature that inhabits the old rundown GL labs. A genetically modified eel that was supposed to be extremely violent but instead was very passive. Though not effective it was kept as a pet until the facility was abandoned due to specimen ????"
In the game, it somewhat served as a host for the parasitic Specimen 10. When you see Specimen 10 come out of the vent, it will not attack you; Instead, the new Specimen 10 will pop up from the latter's head, killing it, and start chasing you.
Trivia
Prior to the 2.7.1 update, the developers of the game planned to remove Specimen 10 from the game.
It was an agressive specimen before being replaced by it's current form.
Specimen 10 doesn't have a death screen
The CAT-DOS entry for this specimen seems glitchy. The glitched-out entry implies there was an error that made it show the wrong specimen: the correct one was the new Specimen 10.
Bugs
Rarely, Specimen 10 can leave the map and can't return due to its inability to pass through walls. It's fixed when the player enters the next room. Specimen 10 is a hostile enemy encountered starting at Room 617.
Specimen 10 is a terrifying parasitic alien lifeform. Before encountering the player, this creature lives inside the old Specimen 10. It was the cause of the abandonment of the GL Labs's Facility starting from Room 610.
Specimen 10(new)theme
"----", Specimen 10's chase theme.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Specimen 10 has 2 forms:
The 1st form seems to be composed of 2 parts: the yellowish organic layer that covers the entire upper body, and the main body with no arms and bare humanoid legs.
The 2nd form ressembles a large, leech-like creature.
Gameplay
Specimen 10 appears around Room 617, after the player uses the generator. At first sight, the player sees the old specimen 10 coming out of the vents, crawling towards the player. But shortly afterwards, the true specimen erupts from the head of the latter; now the new Specimen 10 begins to chase the player.
This specimen can't go through walls and moves rather slow, slightly faster than that of Specimen 5.
If the player comes too close to Specimen 10, it will reveal its huge vertical mouth on the torso and attack the player, dealing approximately 40 damage, at the same time causes constant disturbing visuals. This particular attack leaves the player's vision covered with yellow, slimish subtances for a period of time. The more damages taken by these attacks, the thicker the subtances become.
Because of its slowness, the player usually outruns this specimen. However, if the player runs out of sight of Specimen 10 for a few moments, the creature will give a flashing screen as a warning, before transforming into its 2nd form, in which Specimen 10 can move very fast. It deals roughly 20 damage to the player and disturbs their vision. The player's vision also gets gradually covered with the yellow substances. These substances will slowly fade away for a period of time.
It should be noted that hitting Specimen 10 with the axe can force it to transform into its 2nd form. In this form, the axe is useless.
When the player is killed by this specimen, they will be presented with a flashing screen, with text reading:
"Now you have nothing to fear.
Now you have nothing to think.
Follow your selfish desires.
Follow your natural instinct.
After all you're just an animal.
It's much easier than trying to think."
During this sequence, the player can briefly see the hidden binary code behind the notes:
01011001 01101111 01110101 00100000 01100001 01110010 01100101 00100000 01101101 01101111 01110010 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100001 01101110 00100000 01101010 01110101 01110011 01110100 00100000 01100001 01101110 00100000 01100001 01101110 01101001 01101101 01100001 01101100 00101110 00001101 00001010 01010101 01110011 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01110011 01101111 01110101 01101100 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 00100111 01110110 01100101 00100000 01100010 01100101 01100101 01101110 00100000 01100111 01101001 01110110 01100101 01101110 00101110 00001101 00001010 01000001 01101110 01100100 00100000 01100010 01100101 00100000 01110010 01100101 01110011 01110000 01101111 01101110 01110011 01101001 01100010 01101100 01100101 00100000 01100110 01101111 01110010 00100000 01111001 01101111 01110101 01110010 00100000 01100001 01100011 01110100 01101001 01101111 01101110 01110011 00101110
...which means:
"You are more than just an animal.
Use the soul you've been given.
And be responsible for your actions."
CAT-DOS entry of Specimen 10:
"A form changing creature that is believed to be an extraterrestrial, though it was not officially proven. Proved very effective on most subjects, but deemed too difficult to contain. The specimen broke out of its containment area due to frequent electrical malfunctions."
Bugs
Rarely, after erupting from the old Specimen 10, Specimen 10 chases the player, but disappears when the player enters the next room.
Trivia
So far, this is the only specimen planned for replacing an other specimen.
Despite the parasitic nature mentioned in the CAT-DOS, Specimen 10 in-game cannot latch onto the player in order to damage them.
It is the second specimen to have a hidden binary message, the first one being Specimen 11.
Interestingly enough, the hidden binary message of Specimen 10 contradicts the notes showing on its death screen.
In the CAT-DOS entry for the old Specimen 10, it is implied that a certain specimen has lead to the abandonment of the facility. This is very likely the doing of Specimen 10, as the glitched-out entry of the old Specimen 10 noted an error that made the entry displaying the wrong specimen.
It is possible that the current host for Specimen 10 was one of the GL Labs' Assistant trying to retrieve the loose Specimen but horrifically failed, as the last note in the Facility's vents stated that "he/she was hiding from that thing" and "something was growing on his/her skin.... couldn't seem to tear it fast enough..... losing a lot of blood".
It is likely that Specimen 10 was inspired by the film The Thing. Specimen 11 is a hostile enemy encountered in the fastfood restaurant at Room 710.
Contents[show]
Appearance
Specimen 11 is a floating red creature with a demonic appearance. Its eyeless head bears two large horns. Specimen 11 also has long claws at the ends of its fingers and lacks any sort of clothing. Not only is its head eyeless, it also appears to be lacking both ears, a nose, and a mouth of any kind. Specimen 11's eye sockets leak blood down its face.
Gameplay
Specimen 11 floats and moves very fast. Hitting him with the axe can make him leave - This could be a bug.
Specimen 11 first appears in the freezer of room 710, after the player takes the key to the exit. It will spawn at the freezer's door.
Specimen 11 deals 50 damage on contact.
CAT-DOS entry for Specimen 11:
"A floating red figure that was found inside a secret area below a large abandoned corporate office once owned by a restaurant franchise. The specimen is extremely violent and also seems to leave the house at will despite various containment methods. Victims vanish on contact with specimen but sometimes remains of the victims have been found inside the testing chamber days later. Proved not effective as victims souls do not remain after contact."
When the Specimen 11 kills the player, they will be in a meat-themed spiral hallway. At the end of the hallway, Specimen 11 will appear and wait for the player. If the player goes back, they will end up at a dead end, forcing the player to come back to Specimen 11. If the player comes closer to Specimen 11, they will be presented with the game over screen, first it flashes meat and other scenes, then it shows a text that says:
"With every bite with bone and skin.
The temple groaned and shook again.
His dwelling place did I neglect.
