Has anyone made it to room 1000?
is it possible?

Its a room with the exit door at the end. You die after a certain amount of time. I cheated to get there so i dont know if there's actually a way out.

It is possible, and there are 2 different endings. There is a discussion about the endings if want to check it out.
Also @Mr. Blue , Use your axe to cut the chains.

Yes they finished the game after room 1000 you get a final cutscene and a boss fight.

i skipped the bossfight. gave up because it hurts my eyes and is annoying.

The bossfight has a pattern to beating him, and once you know, you can beat him quickly.

Yes, the game's fully possible to win.

You get a neat boss battle, and the ending you get afterwards depends on your actions after room 554 where you get the Axe.

I just finished the game 5 mins ago...

*SPOILER WARNING*
That boss fight was annoying as hell, but I kill it on my second try... then that ending...
I... I don't even know, what I was thinking...

Going all the way through 1000 rooms, thinking that killing bad creatures would be a good idea. I thought there's some sense in it since it's much easier just to go through without killing. Killing took effort and I thought there would be some reward. But at least now I know protagonist has some sick haircut and now kills fools like me. Eh. :<

Based on my own experience, the game was great, but it was too easy and not all that 'jump scary' (although I do admittedly have a high threshold for jumpscares, I was hoping this would break the cycle of boredom with survival-horror lacking true "scare factor"). Yes, I made it to room 1000 after 3 hours of gameplay and dying a total of 5 times throughout my one-session run. The only place I really had trouble was in the 300-350 area during the run-in with specimen 6. After that the entire game is run, complete room puzzle, rinse, repeat. Some subtile improvements need to be made to increase the challenge in my opinion.
