Death's Gambit: Afterlife
Death's voice is not credited?
Oddly Matthew Mercer isn't credit anywhere in the game despite voicing Death.
It kinda weird that one of the characters with a high count of lines, if not the highest one in the game, didn't wanted his name to be credit anywhere for his work, for whatever reasons.

It does give an impression that some kind of disagreement between the parts occured during the game development.

Strange. Whatever the case, he did a very good job. I hope the developers are working on something new and are not lost in time.
iirc i heard that matthew mercer requested to not be mentioned in the credits for voicing death despite mentioning himself on twitter/x that he would be a familiar voice in the game. a few voice actors do this for various reasons. one being the reason of "they dont want their name to be tied to a project that has a low chance of success" among other things.

This makes absolutely no sense at all. Even a child can understand that a voice actor is not the one behind the development of a game, they are just hired to play a small role on it. If the game turns out to be bad then it is solely the developers fault. And at the end of the day they also receive their payment upfront, before and regardless of the reception of the product, they will already have pocketed their money.
Same goes for actors hired to play on bad selling movies. People are smart enough to separate the two things and it hardly will taint the actors reputation, even in movies that straight up bring political or ideological subjects, it is very unlikely to happen. Unless the actor himself is willing to use the movie as a mean to come in public and position themselves or declare support in some sort of activism campaign or something. Then of course, they won't be free from criticism and judgment.
But again, no one in this world is free from criticism and judgment, even if they never manifest their opinion about anything. It is just innevitable.

you are right it doesnt make sense at all but it does happen from time to time surprisingly enough. some simply use an alias and some just ask for their names to not be included in the credits. Mercer promoted his involvement but (seemingly) requested that his name not be listed. since he's in the credits and speaking its unlikely that the devs forgot to credit him, and Mercer also seemingly doesnt have any issues with the lack of crediting towards him as death.
