What in the world is a "roll attack"?
Playing on Switch but dunno where else to ask for info on this. Roll Mastery refers to something called a "roll attack".

"Roll attacks increases soul energy gained from attacks by 3 for 12 seconds."

What in the world is a roll attack? Is that a different ability, or does it just mean a regular dodge roll? Is it like a parry, so when you do a perfect dodge roll you get a chance to retaliate? I googled it and can't find an answer anywhere.

(Just as an aside, I feel like the game in general does a very poor job at explaining anything to you. I know the lack of hand-holding is intentional and i'm no fan of over-tutorilization... but I beat more than half the bosses and still don't understand what most of the mechanics do. I never use abilties cause i just don't see the benefit. Most abilites seem utterly situational and too convoluted. And the cooldowns are ridiculously long. I faired much better just dodge/blocking my way through every encounter. Like, why even increase soul energy gain if i need a 15 second cooldown on my big glowy sword attack anyway? Why bother, just hit&dodge instead. Maybe it's cause i-frame dodge & perfect block is already so OP that everything else pales in comparison, rendering the entire skill tree mute.

Anyway rant aside, still have no clue what "roll attack" means.)
