I never played that game, but from what I've seen of it, there's much more of a platforming focus there.
Death's gambit has platforming, but it's more for traversal and not a huge challenge in and of itself outside of maybe a couple specific sections.
The game has challenging fights for sure and the combat has some Dark Souls elements to it, so if that sounds interesting, it's worth a try. I do think some fights can get tedious though, especially if you don't know how best to fight them.
Just fair warning, the devs of this game aren't afraid to mess around some, so the game has moments that can throw you off, either story-wise or gameplay-wise (especially the secret boss). Whether it's good or a bad depends on the player. I thought it was quite cool (except the secret boss, which had an interesting mechanic on paper, but loses the novelty after the first time).
