Amulvaro was the best boss mechanically (non-heroic)

I feel like a few bosses in this game had dumb gimmicks, were silly with projectiles, or just felt like damage sponges.

But Amulvaro did everything well. It did had a gimmick but it wasn't a terrible one. It was hard at first, but not in an annoying way. I could feel myself improving the more I fought him. In a sense I think this boss best emulated the Dark Souls gameplay formula seen in DS's best bosses. Also it had a cool aesthetic (up there with Thalamus).

That said I can't speak from a heroic perspective as I didn't do those.

I really just wanted to post this in case the devs actually read this place. But feel free to share your favourite boss.

If we ignore lore and stuff:
Amulvaro is a cool boss indeed.
I like Bulwark even if he isn't really hard.
Third would be Bysurge, but I really don't like the DPS race on this one (ninja robot spam), which isn't a problem when you know the game more.

Worst would be:
Eldrich, basically spam the attack button to win, spawned ennemies are tanky so it takes a long time, and in second phase she is practically defensless.
Cusith, not really fun to do. Stack as much damage and he dies. All the difficulty comes from the DPS race, i believe it'll be reworked when the DLC is released, but no confirmations so far.
Heroic gaian. Did you order some g a n k? I haven't fought most heroics but when I tried this one... damn. Even on the arm of the gaian you arent safe from projectiles.

I enjoyed all the bosses mostly haven't done all on heroic but challengewise Amulvaro took most learning and was fun all the way. Although after learning that quite a few bosses can be parried i started having even more fun with them trying to open them up for counter damage in addition to my opening abusing DPS. Fav boss so far was Thalamus due to its design and the implication that this massive god is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with you

Top 5 bosses for me are Amulvaro, Bulwark, Endless, Origa, and Phoenix. Not ordered.

2. With Afterlife some of the new bosses (heroics especially) are possibly some of my favourite.

If the boss is parryable, its fun. Amulvaro is a satisfying one to parry.

Mechanics aside, I think Amulvaro just looks awesome. The entire presentation for the fight had me hooked.
