Question - Martial Prowess

Does sliding count as a kicking attack, or is this achievement something I can only do in NG+? I haven't gotten around to it yet.

kicking was removed in afterlife and replaced by slideing. this achievment can therefore ONLY be done with slideing.

its best to unequip your weapons in order to prevent from useing them by accident. you must equip a shield in order to slide tough. what shield doesnt matter.

There is a kick attack that is unlockable in the general talent tree called Dive Kick (I would assume that works, although I have never tried to get the achievement).

The turtle shield is the exception, you cannot slide with that shield equipped.

You probably got this already, but yeah you just Slide on Owl King and you get the achievement.
