What does weapon enchanting do?
So I enchnted my spellbook from +3 to +6 and there is absolutely no difference - I'm dealing exactly same damage as before. What the point then?

armor items (helm, cape, boots) have their stat bonuses increased by 1 each enchant, weapons have their damage increased, but i don't know what enchanting does to the tomes though...

Enchanting seems useful for armor, but for weapons? It barely raises the damange anyway

weeapon get a flat 1 or 2 damage it seems per upgrade, a very small amount unless youre talking about a weapon that starts with only 5 damage like the Guns. it isnt a well thought out system

Its usefull for weapons. You're getting low damage increase but dont forget that weapon damage increased by some % with your stats.

Yep, I believe leveling them up increases the scaling but it's not every point, so you can go from say +3 to +6 and not get a scaling increase, so you won't notice a damage bonus. Also won't notice much of one if your stats are low either.

That being said, boosting equipment, especially pieces that boost multiple stats (like vit + int if your a mage) seem to do more over all. Especially true if you are going mostly pure offense (whatever that stat is) with maybe some haste thrown in. Stat bonuses make a large diff if you have base stats in vitality and endurance and get bonuses only from EQ.
