Welp I'm stuck
It seems the problem I've been having with this game since it's release (a lack of map) has come full circle, idk where to go ,I'm at the point where I need 3 sigils to open the gate, and idk where to get them, only place I can see that I can go that I haven't been is Garde Tum and it seems to be blocked off aswell

well this is darksouls 2d so i don t think you re getting a map. if u interact with the door it will tell u who has the sigils but let me be the guide since reading and listening is too hard.

1st sigil u get from sniper boss pass the monastery to the east.

2nd u get from the mage up top. That elevator that doesn t work can be activated with sigil of gaia which u can get from your local merchant.

3rd is after Garde Tum in the sewer/catacombs level from beating Eldrich Judge or smth like that.

Ps read everything listen to everything
And if u made it to grande tum and are stuck - in the second map room the one with the terminator ...go left pass the wall

see the issue with this is in metroidvnia styled games which this game reminds me much of,there are hints or clues that will tell you which walls you can just jump through,in this game with the lack of map or ability to know where wall clips are it makes it hard properly navigate

You can find rooms with maps in garde tum, the purple marks on the map are hidden paths.

I've played many metroidvanias in my day,but never have I once been given so little information about the map as I have in this game

because this is more souls-like then metroidvania :steamhappy:

there is not a singel metroidvania element in this game.
even the airdash can be done from lvl 1 onward, the distance is pretty much the same as the air-strike.
yeah, you collect what..2 keys? at best.

alas, the game is so "tiny" that a map would probably fit on a singel page. the only area where a map can be helpful is unimportant to the whole rest of the game (underwater) and the sci-fi part got a map....

I'm not debating that but the map layout is more metroidvania then souls-like,with wall clips, jump puzzles and more often then not routes that lead away from proper progression to collect side items,it feels like a Metroidvania that tried to be Dark Souls more then Dark Souls

I do agree there. This feels like a metroidvania trying to be more dark souls, rather than a dark souls trying to be metroidvania

which is exactly why I say things like a map should exist within the game,it's 100% not dark souls like people try to say it is,what it boils down to is the game is almost a boss rush with sub-levels of platforming between them used for grinding, and at the end of the day I haven't even finished the game but I've noticed theres far too little time between bosses,I would really have liked to seen more rooms and larger envirnoments between bosses
