Just finished my first playthrough and I have some tips
I just finished my first playthrough and towards the end, I discovered some things that helped me personally.

1. Always keep a bow equiped. As low damage as it does, there are situations where having two melee weapons equipped just don't cut it. Sometimes the bosses will get out of range and spam their AOE attacks. Use a bow to slowly chunk down the bosses. I forget the name, but there is a bow you can get relativly early that applies fire damage over time. It works wonders when an enemy already has bleed. I also test some energy based weapons but didn't like them personally. I'm sure there are several who love them, so give them a shot :)

2. Longer reach weapons > shorter reach weapons. I started with a scyth. I never stopped using a scything. I tried mixing it up with daggers, swords, and spears, but they just didn't do it for me. The scything hits everything in it's sweep, not just the blade. It also doesn't do lower damage if you hit with the handle comapared to the blade. Ther were several times where enemies were grouped together and my scyth made quick work of them.

3. You don't need a full invetory of phoneix plumes. No matter how much I increased FIN for my scyth, I never felt like I was doing enough damage. A little too late into the game, I decided to start stacking my phoenix plumes at shrines to give myself 150-180% dmg increase. The amount of damage it increases is insane and makes most enemies, and even bosses, not even a challenge. I killed Amuvarlo with two plumes and the other 6 were attuned towards bonus damage. Sadly I also didn't start doing it until Amuvarlo, which was one of the last bosses I had to fight. Heroic bosses weren't too tough either.

4. Be agressive. I don't want to compare this game to the BloodSouls series, but I need to. In Dark Souls, you are awarded for taking your time. In BloodBorne, you are awarded for being agressive. Be agressive. You don't have the option to parry with most classes and blocking attacks drains stamina like no other.

5. Be patient with bosses. The only boss I KO'ed my first try was Endless. Everything else took 2-10 tries. I think the one that killed me the most was the dumbass electric bear looking mother ♥♥♥♥♥♥. I don't know why either since everything was telegraphed for a year. Usually you have more than one route you can take, so if one boss is kicking your ass, take a break from the game or go somewhere else. If anything, just farm shards and level up.

6. My last tip, and this could be due to the class I chose; level up VIT and END first. I started with little to no stamina. A single roll made me feel like I was fat rolling and had no stamina left, and my basic 3 hit combo took all my stamina as well. I never really saw too much of a difference in stamina regen with leveling haste, or maybe I just got accustomed to the slow increase in regen speed. Regardless, If you start with the last class (scyth), stamina is important since you don't have much to begin with, and weilding a scythe drains a lot of stamina per swing.

That's all I have to say. What works for me may not work for you. I'm sure I'm far off from having the "best" play style, but it was fun to do regardless. I hope this helps some people who are trying to find help.

Nice try, but no. Make your profile with achievements public.

Your "Captain Obvious" tier advice does not measure up to steamrolling heroics.

So everything should be public now. Better?

I've been playin with all my feathers stowed as damage not cause I'm brave but because I don't wanna worry about dying, and it's felt okay so far, having just downed the Forgotten Gaian and the Tundra Lord

and definitely loving this aldwynn halberd I got dropped in the first area, it's got reach for days, a 360 aerial and it's speedier than most of the similar-sized strength weapons I've found

and END is amazing, it seems to increase all stats by a small margin on top of boosting your stamina? I dumped into STR at first and that does feel good but splashing in that END is, mmph, so hot

seems like good advice to me, basically!

To be fair, OP only has achievements for 3 heroic bosses.

I can agree to most, besides raising endurance or regen speed. just put everything into damage. stagger the everloving sh*t out of enemys with whatever weapon u prefer, win quick.

Put ALL the plumes into damage amplification so u have to git gud and will def get the golden chests(wich held nothing interesting for me, ever).

I have a question for you tho, have u found daggers other then the ones u get at start?

Edit: not to mention u cant lose plumes when they are all offered up as damage boost :)

You don't even own the game.

You should keep quiet while the adults are talking or you won't get presents from Santa this Christmas for bad behaviour.

To be fair, I never said I killed every Heroic boss, just that I didn't have a problem.

You made a great point about your Halberd that I like about my scythe. The jump attack is almost a 360 degree circle. It was reliable AF.

Some bad advice above: don't raise VIT above 10, it's a trap stat.

You get better results raising END / HST, they raise stats across the board.
