However, aside from those few occasions, I found that the difficulty was engaging. I learned as I went, found a weapon that worked for me (The halberd....MMMF. Dragoon jump, stabs etc. wonderful range and speed and damage and arrgh <3) and when I got used to how the mechanics worked, I started blazing through the game. I have beaten like 10 some odd bosses, and loved every minute. Take your time, learn, get better.
There is no artificial difficulty here. You are meant to take some hits, and meant to work on a decent build. Don't be stupid. Think about your choices, dont be greedy in combat, and the game opens up a lot. Good luck!
(The game isn't flawless obviously. Dont put words in my mouth or assume something I didnt intend from my writing please.)
It is pretty hilarious to me, as the op was worried about the game having one difficulty mode, and it actually contains a multitude of optional difficulty modifications within the game now that it is released. I disagree that wanting devs to focus on making a single difficulty game is somehow snobby, but a lot can be misunderstood in a post made this far before a game actually releases in any form.
Bosses have patterns. You can either grind and level up stats to the point where you can largely ignore the pattern and just facetank, or you can learn the boss's pattern and win by taking few, if any hits.
There's always cheat engine if you want invincibility.
