For me it wasn't complicated but I think it depends from person to person and pc to pc. On win10 everything runs smoothly, both as a technical compartment and as a resolution.
Of course some users had problems but many have already been solved or you find the solution in the Troubleshooting-faq section of EF mod's Discord channel.
Anyway for the resolution, you find the graphics settings when starting the mod (a small window appears with all the options), this is because the in-game options are semi-deactivated, i.e. they still work but they don't take precedence anymore, anyway then you find all the info on how to set the mod in case of problems, always in the Discord (always better to set them on max the in-game options
Yes if you install EF, once installed you can already play, and no the two mods together, don't go together.
Today many play it in single but you can play it in multi (with the EF mod, without multi it doesn't work or I don't think the servers are even there anymore). Ef then totally rewrote the behavior of AI , so you will have fun with it if you appreciate these old games.
Thank you. So all that will be needed is the EF mod? I was just wondering since the HD mod got updated in late 2022, so thought it might have some relevance. This makes it pretty straightforward forward then. Thanks!
HD mod was born for those players who want the original pure vanilla experience, because EF mod goes to change the balance and other small features of units and upgrades, because of the new civs; but wanting to see well, it's not like the original game was that well balanced.
I realized now that I wrote the first post horribly, sorry English is not my native language and I was in a big hurry, so I didn't have time to correct it grammatically.
