Sandcrawler?
So I've had this game all my life. In fact this was my first ever starwars game. Also my first ever strategy game. Although I still havent figured out what the hell the sandcrawler is for? I could never understand what its purpose was. When the sandcrawler is selected it gives me the option to build a building just like with the worker, but when I select a building to build it doesnt do anything! It just sits there and no build site spawns. This has always stumped me and I'm tired of trying to figure out how to use the blasted sandcrawlers. I always though it was for repairing things but it doesnt work for that either.

Sandcrawlers are used for scouting out the enemy base.

Possibly but if so there not very good at it. Considering you only find them on tatooine and there not very fast at all.

Not very fast, yet very armored, and with a decent Line Of Sight, would be useful as early Scouts then.

I never noticed they can build. They only avalaible on Tattoine random map, they can be captured witht he scout. I just send them to the Command Center to protect till I get a solid defense.

When my cousins and i used to play this at my grandmother's we always used them to distract the enemy or scouting out positions i also belive you need to protect some or destroy them in a misson but i haven't played since like 07 or 08
