Lore
I'm very curious about the lore behind this game. I know that the guy in the Ω levels has a name "Crakhed" but why is he there? Why does he become more demonic every level? What is that specular prism at level ∞ and why/how does it do what it does? What is the Space beetles origins? Why are the mid-level bosses there and why do they want to kill you? What are Zillapedes?
Just so many questions that i'd be interested to hear answers and/or some secret hints throughout the game that can tell the lore behind it all

Maybe this beetle is the predator himself? He collects some blocks from successful boss hits, that may be some analog of food. He hunts bosses down running through levels, and final bosses are just trying to stop him? That's kind of makes sense, because bosses don't really attack back. They just use terrain to get rid of our little bugger

And.. this is a pretty strange thought, but what if the line, along whitch our bug runs, isn't the only path at all? What if it's just a chemical trail that seem like the only road for our bug? Ants do the same thing, following trails of their brothers. Or what if The Bug is something like a scout, scoping things out for his kin? That's why all the diffirent obstacles pop up in front of him and he has to break through them! Thus, he makes his own chemical train, free from environmental hazards
..or it just says that he has quite poor "eyesight", relying more on the sound, aka rythm for us.

Crackhed is a reflection of the player; a disfigured image of yourself which gets worse and angrier the more it gets beaten up by the beetle. It was explained in an interview not so long ago. Imo though I kind of relate to Crackhed representing the player because it's kind of metaphoric in some sense and it makes sense because the hellish void is a wicked and merciless place and if you want to survive you won't get out of it the same way you entered it. Just like in life. The polygon at the end of 9 on the other hand must be some kind of master of time and space which speeds up or slows down time as he pleases.

They're so right then. To level 8 i've already opened my third eye for this game. And became quite edgy too :D

This is silly but I like to imagine that the beetle is chasing the needle along the grooves of a vinyl disc, finally catching it and warping the record at the end. Then Crackhed can be a piece of lint that gets ever bigger with every other dust (mini-boss) adhering to it on each rotation, heh.
