Do you get XP off normal enemies and all enemies?
hard to tell since you never see the XP amount, after the kill. I assume you do but if not. Then likely won't waste any time grinding enemies.

no. only captains and quests reward xp

as a bonus thought; the quests actually give bonus skill points; so the fastest way to 'farm' isn't to farm, but to play the campaign to 100%

Alright thanks guys, appreciate the information. Was curious if you guys knew one more thing. When comes to captains weakness. Are they only presented after finding them out? or they always have that specific weakness? Just seems more valuable if it unlocks those weakness when uncovering them. Even if they already are suppose to have them.

yep, if they have a weakness, they become a captain with that weakness, or that strength; you just can't 'see' it until you get a Worm to reveal it; I've accidentally killed Captains before because I didn't know they had "mortal weakness" to something, like "mortally flammable" etc. because he ambushes me and I shoot a barrel or something to clear the mobs while trying to find a worm after this random Captain ambushes me. (random ambushes happen more when you switch to a new area due to your 'renown' in other areas; after that they tend to be 'revenge' ambushes)

Think misunderstood me sorry if didn't explain well. It also might be to difficult to answer since I don't think there is a way to test it. Besides already knowing there weakness before uncovering it. Give example for instance if a captain is weak to fire. Before I uncover that he is weak to fire is he still weak to fire? or only becomes weak to fire after uncovering that he is weak to fire. Which would make uncovering that info that more useful. Which why was curious if it did work that way.

when made captain they get assigned all strengths and weaknesses, you need to target them to remove their visual and strength fog of war and then a worm to remove their weakness 'fog of war' but if you fight enough captains then you can discover their individual weaknesses the old fashioned way (harming them in some sort of cyclic arrow/fire/poison/frost torture scene)
this info only really matters when planning ahead, which is only really important when setting up a fight between uruks

"when planning ahead"
So; the "Press X to see Captain's weakensses" on the Captain's dialogue is 'planning ahead' then. Then from there I can instantly switch my loadout to counter him - usually changing one item or ability is enough - Elven Light is my usual go-to for fire/poison, I run a Cursed Weapon and a Frost Armour = so I can proc every element all the time - although fire sword that ignites enemies for 10s is rediculous, I gotta say.

There's always a barrel for fire, or a firepit for spiders/ghouls nearby. Most captain fights are trivial with just those things... oh and shadow dash because it bypasses 'Vaultbreaker' and Olog mount / teardown punishes.

also; if a captain kills you a few times, they can gain new, Epic or Legendary Traits, and if you kill them they get a higher likelyhood of gaining immunities to whatever you killed them with; along with an elemental weapon.

Maybe I didn't explain it well, because that's exactly what I'm trying to say.

Whenan Uruk kills you, he becomes a Captain. (or the game can just spawn some if you're not dying enough, which probably means you should turn the difficulty up one, because it's the best way to experience the game)
When he becomes a captain, he gains strengths, traits, and weaknesses.
You use his weakness against him, even if it's not revealed to you yet.
You can see his traits, but not his weaknesses until you Worm him, but yes he is always have them>

and you "can" test it, that's what I was saying above - I've accidentally killed new orc's I've never seen before, with a single hit, without using a Worm first - just because I happened to be carrying the right sword at the time.

If you want to test it, get 'fire spiders' and never use worms. They exploit fire, poison, and fear of spiders, which are all really common weaknesses in the early game.

Bonus - because it's not obvious in the game AND it's game-changing....
"Cursed" weapons are SUPER powerful. They do two things;
1. a captain affected by curse gains 'morgai flies' - so if they are afraid of morgai, then perfection awaits you; and
2. Curse removes Captain Immunities - so if they are immune to fire, or poison, etc then hit them with Curse, they can then be poisoned or caught on fire.

I really should test whether ittemporarily removes traits like arrow-proof and vault-breaker, too.

Thanks for the detailed explanation.
