Wish I could unbuy Ice Storm
The Ice Storm ability which replaces the default stun mechanic... is kind of a downgrade.
Because any enemies which are frozen cannot be attacked normally, and must be flurry attacked.
And the flurry attack will only do damage if you do 8 consecutive hits on the same guy, and those hits won't charge the might meter nearly as much as normal hits... etc etc.

And during a large fight with more than 2 or 3 orcs, you will not be able to execute all 8 hits to complete a flurry attack without being hit or needing to dodge or block.

Compare that to a normal stun, you can knock down the enemy in 1 hit, and then kill them with 1 more hit via Ground Execution.

Now that I've unlocked the Ice Storm, I hardly ever use the Ground Execution mechanic because normal "stun" almost never happens.

And since it's a "skill" and not an "upgrade" you can't unequip it. So the change is permanent.

Wow, big suck.

I love the shattering one , cant live without it. Unlike my controllers xd.:OTCdanger:

Try to use it on spear heading guys, if they are trying to surrond you the Glaive can give you some time. Or some arrows.

You'll go back to stunning later on, you're still in early game.
This is only the beginning, you haven't seen nothing yet.....trust me..

Oh? So only last hit actually delivers damage?? Wow .. what a bright effing idea :madskull:
Now i also kinda regret buying it.

Replacing the stun attack with the ability to freeze enemies works if you have any life steal rune equipped because you can hit many consecutive hits quickly and recover life instantly.

Just discovered another reason why ice storm is a downgrade.
Some orcs are immune to frost, and in those cases, this Ice Storm will do nothing to those orcs.

However, if you have the original stun move, you can stun those orcs, then knock them down, then ground execute them.

I recently had a fight against a Savage which was immune to frost and also arrow-proof.
So no frontal attacks, no stunning with Ice storm, and no headshots.
Also no quick throw.

If I had not purchased Ice Storm, this would make the fight much easier, as I can simply use normal Stun to get combo hits on him.

(In case you're wondering how I won, what I did is build the combo meter on his minions and use Wraith Stun to inflict fire on him. I also equipped a sword and armor which can inflict poison, which he was vulnerable to. He was also vulnerable to executions, but you can't build the combo meter on him because he's a savage and can't be frosted).

I prefer using Glaive on savage. And most tricksters, and assassins xd. The might giving one.
Bully them then do some executions if they arent immune (if they are its glaived to death, not really nice to see).

Yeah, quick throw counts as arrow as weird as it is.

We notice the stun thing in the beginning, everyone (even if I wouldnt keep it against a strong shielder user) is stunable, even those damn tricksters who can just "block" the freezing one without being immune.

Guess they should have put the freezing skill in subskill instead of the one wich end with a critical hit uh. Bah, doesnt matter for me.

Yeah, exactly the way I feel.
Ice Storm needs to be a Skill Upgrade, not a skill by itself.

The biggest advantage of the ice is it keeps them stunned longer. Sure you can knock down an orc with the stun but you risk getting hit when you hit them again to knock them down and when performing the ground execution.

Flurry's timing takes some practice to learn when you can get away with it and when you can't. Ice storm can be really useful for keeping bosses stunned while you build up your combo meter on their minions.

I often ice stun grunt savages in group fights just to take them out of the action for a bit.

Ice immune captain savages can be hit to build your combos. You just dodge at an angle to their upper right or left just as they are about to hit you. Then you can get a hit on them from behind.

Why would you use the E attack for that? You have a passive that automatically deletes grunts on counterattack and regular attacks stun and knock enemies to the ground if you want to ground execute. You cant even attack Savages from the front with melee safely, so the hypothetical regular E attack would work the same as regular melee attack and get countered.

Anyways, ice is for infinite comboing and hit streak, and all the benefits that come with that. Built around damage while enemy is frozen + passive damage one time, and you would just freeze a Captain and infinite flurry combo it to death lol.

Fire weapon?

No, the regular E attack does stun Savages from the front. It doesn't get countered.
