Try to use it on spear heading guys, if they are trying to surrond you the Glaive can give you some time. Or some arrows.
This is only the beginning, you haven't seen nothing yet.....trust me..
Now i also kinda regret buying it.
Some orcs are immune to frost, and in those cases, this Ice Storm will do nothing to those orcs.
However, if you have the original stun move, you can stun those orcs, then knock them down, then ground execute them.
I recently had a fight against a Savage which was immune to frost and also arrow-proof.
So no frontal attacks, no stunning with Ice storm, and no headshots.
Also no quick throw.
If I had not purchased Ice Storm, this would make the fight much easier, as I can simply use normal Stun to get combo hits on him.
(In case you're wondering how I won, what I did is build the combo meter on his minions and use Wraith Stun to inflict fire on him. I also equipped a sword and armor which can inflict poison, which he was vulnerable to. He was also vulnerable to executions, but you can't build the combo meter on him because he's a savage and can't be frosted).
Bully them then do some executions if they arent immune (if they are its glaived to death, not really nice to see).
Yeah, quick throw counts as arrow as weird as it is.
We notice the stun thing in the beginning, everyone (even if I wouldnt keep it against a strong shielder user) is stunable, even those damn tricksters who can just "block" the freezing one without being immune.
Guess they should have put the freezing skill in subskill instead of the one wich end with a critical hit uh. Bah, doesnt matter for me.
Ice Storm needs to be a Skill Upgrade, not a skill by itself.
Flurry's timing takes some practice to learn when you can get away with it and when you can't. Ice storm can be really useful for keeping bosses stunned while you build up your combo meter on their minions.
I often ice stun grunt savages in group fights just to take them out of the action for a bit.
Ice immune captain savages can be hit to build your combos. You just dodge at an angle to their upper right or left just as they are about to hit you. Then you can get a hit on them from behind.
Anyways, ice is for infinite comboing and hit streak, and all the benefits that come with that. Built around damage while enemy is frozen + passive damage one time, and you would just freeze a Captain and infinite flurry combo it to death lol.
