Save Game Issue
I've played this game on/off for many years for a meager total of about 60 hours. I got the itch again and loaded the game back up. My old save worked just fine. Played awhile and one of my kids wanted to play. He played on my game for like 20 minutes and of course died a million times and mucked a bunch of stuff up. No big deal. I did some looking and learned you could basically copy save files and then manipulate the save file that was in the "remote" folder. Well, that "remote" folder does not update. In fact, if I delete everything in there it doesn't even repopulate anymore. So I am assuming that's an "old" way that the game was saved? The only files that update are the ones in the LOCALDATA/WB Games folder. If I manipulate those putting in the backedup copies of those games from my working save... again nothing changes when I load the game up. It's either new game only or, if I play part of the tutorial for a few minutes it will be that. So clearly there's a different location for the save games now? I have the cloud saves turned off. But they were turned on previously. I'm not sure how to access cloud saves?

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

If anyone stumbled upon this. I got it sorted out. I had installed this game ages ago and periodically installed/uninstalled. I have zero idea where the data was being saved, it was not in the fold that steam pointed me towards. Ended up moving from one hard drive to the other and that brought over save folder. I restored my old game and my kid has his "backed up" as well.

If you saved a game and does not show up, you have folder permission security problems.
Run the game as Administrator first, right click properties on the .exe file.

This hasn't fixed the issue for me. Having same issue as OP. Game doesn't save where it should in the 356190 folder. If I delete it and validate files, the remote folder doesn't even repopulate.
