Why is this full price 7 years after release?

It's full price because that's how it works. If they discount it 'now' then it will be worthless when they do their quarterly 80% sale like they do every 3 months or so.

Could you please point me to every other game that's 7 years old, still has a playerbase and is cheaper now at standard retail than it was at release? Or are you just upset because you didn't pay attention to the last sale... which was something like April 11th?

you just missed a major sale. i bought this game, along with shadows of mordor, both with all dlc, all for $9 cdn, which is probably like 7$ usd. it was a major steal imo.

yeah, again, as I said earlier; they're aware of their pricing. and as you can see by the comments above, what they do to milk it now is put it on Uber Sale. so the 'reason' is't still a $60 game is that when people see the '90% off' sale and the 'overwhelmingly positive' reviews or whatever, people think 'wow bargain' and buy it.

Straight up worth the full entry price but damn at $7 for one of the best games ever made?

Just wait for a sale, I got the game for a few dollars and it goes on sale often. Green Man Gaming sells keys cheap and legally unlike some other websites, but you don't get to refund compared to buying the key from steam directly if you need to for whatever reason.
