Sword of Vengeance challenge
It says I have to execute a vandette target to unlock the upgrade. I have both done the Might Execution and a ground execution but for some reason it doesn't count. Am I doing it wrong, do I need to wait for the captain to enter last stand, let him win and then kill him again or what.

I assume, you mean the Vendetta mission Targets- you just need to perform a killing execution on the captain?

Yeah I mean that. And according to the challenge I just need to execute a target, but for some reason it isn't registering the execution

Is the Orc level high enough?

The challenges normally require a lvl 40 and then a level 55 Orc, IIRC. Maybe the first tier will be level 20 if you get the sword really early on, but generally you'll get it later on.

I got mine early on so it is a level 20 for me. But I have executed level 30 vandetta targets with the sword equipped and it didnt count

Are you doing it online? As in you're joining someone else's world and attempting the challenge?

Put them down once, so they can do their dialogue stuff, fail the final blow and do it again for the actual execution for it to work. Should work then.

Or maybe brutal execution when they are in the ground or from behind (not sure for last one), should skip the last words thing.

I also need to upgrade it now that I think about it.....not that it matter, still fun to do tho.
