Base game or Definitive Edition?
Hi guys since steam reviews are down, is it better to buy the base game(66% off) or Definitive edition (20% off)?

All DLC has been released so you know exactly what you'll get with the extra money. Don't need them? Don't buy them.

The definitive edition is cheaper than the base game and the expansion pass ATM, and includes everything currently available.

OFC if you think that the expansion pass is going to be lower in a future sale then you might want to buy the base game and buy the expansions later.

Either way, my first point holds...

When I look at the definitive edition though, the pricing seems to list the expansion pass along with the dlc packs separately, even though the pass covers these dlcs. The pricing total seems absurd, unless I'm missing something..?

Definitive Edition is the way to go IMO.

Anyways, I think the op wanted to know, same as me weather the dlc's are any good or at least good enough to pay for the definitive edition? Most dlc's seem to be rated negatively or mixed by reviewers on steam but the expansion pass is mostly positive which is a bit strange.

I am leaning towards buying just the base game because the edlc's/expansions seem worthless... or are they good?

Gold Edition, Base game + 4 DLC, Base game + season pass, and Definitive Edition are all the same. The geniuses at WB are tripping over themselves trying to come up with ways to sell you the same product at different price points at the same time without looking like fools. Don't be fooled by WB's marketing schemes and buy whatever is the cheapest.

TL;DR:

(NOTE: All values are in NZ$ as that's what I buy in but you can calculate what that is in your real currency by doing the math yourself)

Definitive Edition save you NZ$55.62 over cost of the individual items;
Base Game + Expansion Pass saves you NZ$39.85;
Base Game + Story Pass + 2x Tribes saves you NZ$15.95.

These each get you the full game as it currently stands today, so the choice is obvious.

Or you can wait for a bigger discount...

Regional Pricing, so you should compare it yourself.
