The Undead Cheated Death

So here's a little summary. I used to have an orc named Thrak who was in my army at Cirith Ungol. He ends up betraying me sometime after I return from dominating the broken Bruz. So I decided to shame him multiple times until he became deranged and level one in the process. He became Thrak the Elusive and after sometime of fighting him he eventually met his inevitable death. After he died, I went on to complete the Carnan quests to progress the storyline and gain experience. Then as you know when you reach the end of Carnan's storyline, you deal with Zog being resurrected and you do (optionally) deal with the orcs that were your biggest enemies in the game.

So after killing a couple of my old resurrected foes, I pulled Thrak to the top of the arena to separate him from the enemy to finish him off head-on for his betrayal and to put him to rest permanently. Then my former once ally who was an undead pulled off one last trick when I was about to finish him. He escaped me, due to him being elusive as his title was. Then during the mission I had a feeling Thrak escaped and went back to Cirith, low and behold I find my undead enemy inhabiting Cirith Ungol but his location was unknown. I tried a death threat on him, he did level up and had the gear drop upgraded but nothing was revealed. I couldn't even send any followers to get him.

So fast forward sometime later, I decide to return to Cirith Ungol to try and raid another player's fortress to level up. Then I got a mission that came up that one of my followers was captured, so deciding I should go rescue him guess who comes back...Thrak the Deranged (due to being shamed a few times), when he sought me out he wasn't undead. He was restored to what he looked like before, same armor, same look and he's alive in the flesh. No luminescent emerald eyes. So I guess if an orc escapes you, if they are your enemy during the final Carnan mission they can return to their original region and will be restored to the original form they were after you return to it.

Has anybody ever come across something like this in the game?

Yep -- had some odd ocurrences with undead "cheating" undeath. Not necessarily connected to the Carnan storyline either, btw. Interesting, eh?
