Nervous about completing the epilogue. Please help!

Does anyone know if you get to keep playing and doing fort defense missions in act 4 after completing all the objectives or does the game end and you have to start a new game from scratch?

Just need to know if you can keep playing the game after doing literally everything the game has to offer. Thanks!

I completed the epilogue I'm pretty sure, like I finished the shadow wars and saw an ending cutscene that essentially was the official 'ending' of the game. So unless there is some secret ending I missed, or in my 100 hours of playtime I have missed something very important, I think I'd know you should be fine!

After seeing the cutscene, I could (and still do) play my save afterwards. You can keep playing Fort siege defense missions indefinitely as far as I can tell. You can also attack forts through the 'online' portion of the game, and online vendetta missions are still around. All of the normal orc captain missions are available too that crop up.

As far as I can tell, everything is still available for me to access. I can collect things, recruit 'n kill orcs, use the fight pits, do defense sieges, and use the online for attacking forts. You should be fine I'm pretty sure. I do not believe there is a "New Game +" though.

So as long as you do not start a new save, you should be able to keep playing indefinitely, even if you finish all the story missions.

Yes, you can completely 100% the game in every facet and still keep playing on that save file. You're never locked out due to completion.

After finishing Shadows of War, you simply get a movie about Talion's future. That's it.
You can still play with orcs, get gear and capture/defend fortresses.

So the Orcs can still take over Forts even after? If so, im coming back!

They won't actively launch assaults as such, but if you start one of the repeatable defense missions and either abort or fail it, the fortress will be taken over by hostile orcs and will need to be successfully assaulted again in order to reclaim it.

Hey Guys!

I got an issue with the Epilogue. I have the Definitive Edition, and played all the Shadow Wars sieges until Stage 3 was finished (I understand that vanilla SoW had 10 stages). After that, I got nothing. No cutscene about Talion's future,no true ending. I've seen posts about people getting the TRUE ENDING after finishing stage 3 (stage 10 before the 2018 update); but in my case nothing happened.

I currently able to play never ending sieges... but as far as I read, that should only happen after getting the true ending; which I never got to see.

Please Help me if I'm missing something.
