Can't upgrade siege

Hello, I am unable to upgrade any siege upgrades, it says "hold space to upgrade" when I hold space or click and hold on the text nothing happens. Is there any way to fix it?

You mean the siege slot or the defenses upgraded tied to it?
For first one there is a lvl needed and you have to unlock those before.
For the defense upgrades, do you have a Warchief appointed in the spot?

The defense upgrades, I have unlocked the siege slots and have appointed orcs to the slots but I still can't upgrade my siege defense. I have the option where it says "hold spacebar to unlock" but nothing happens when I hold the button or click on it.

im having siege issues as well, the power level keeps changing between the army and the 'start seige' screens, and it keeps turning half the abilities ive bought off when i switch back to the army screen.

@Roxxas: you are sure you arent confusing assault upgrades and defenses ones?
