In Poland's capital, Warsaw there is an area where a lot of corpo office buildings are clustered together and it's commonly called Mordor. You can look it up on wikipedia

There have been some serious attempts to work out where inspired Tolkien, and you can see with their crude machines and furnaces how the orcs could have started as workers in the industrial Black country, close to where he lived when young.

I've actually met pretty decent and diverse folk down that way. Not all southerners are a** backwards radicals. I think categorizing people based on region and political affiliation is a bit of an unfair and simple minded outlook.
