Act 4: Shadow Wars.

Basically endless capture/defend.

Also you have online Vendetta and online Conquest to put your orcs up against other players orcs. So one you finish the game there will still be a lot to do in the way of Orc slaying and fort conquering.

Yes, the post-story game is where I racked up 1000 hours. Some players don't like it much, but I loved it.

Finish story and all DLC's, then achieve Steward level in online siege. While doing this, recruit the best orcs you find in other player's fortresses, mainly to build strong attack teams in each of the 5 regions. It is fun to get the best team with complementary traits, that can earn silver or gold.

Then make it your goal to achieve 1200 attack rating in each region. This will allow you to attack the best fortresses players have built, with amazing armies (from which you can recruit).

Once, you have built the ultimate armies, you can do the process again on a higher difficulty level like Nemesis or Brutal. So, if you love the game, there is a lot of content to enjoy.

In my opinion the endgame IS the game. Everything up to the endgame is teaching you how to play the endgame.

If you like the early/middle game, there's nothing not to like in the end game. It does get repetitive but it is enjoyable. The lack of continued story progression and character development is made up for by the variety of challenges that the nemesis system throws your way as well as the online component. There is a fluidity in the gameplay that many games could learn from.
