Shame worse than death: does it increase the chance of target being deranged?
I know it decreases a captain's level by an additional four levels, but I'm a little concerned about using it if means there's more of a possibility the captain will turn into a moaning ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and lose all his cool dialogue.

Even regular shaming has a chance of causing deranged, so you can't really prevent that from happening. Unless you don't shame any orcs at all. Also, worse than death lowers level by 12.

Regular shaming also causes "Maniacs" to appear. Worse than death just increases the chance of that happening. When orcs become a maniac it's essentially deranged.

you got that wrong... worse than death produces maniacs... those guys have a high chance of becoming legendary... so... yeah... why not? Also maniacs become lvl 65 most of the time

what im trying to ask; does worse than death INCREASE THE CHANCE of deranging a captain, or does it stay the same while just lowering more levels at a timeÉ

it increases the chance by a LOT

So If I want to keep the captain sane, I'm safer just using regular shame?

worse than death increases the chance of the target becoming a maniac or deranged. Regular shaming still has a chance of creating a maniac or a deranged orc.
Worse than death also removes more positive traits (and adds more weaknesses) than normal shaming, because of this, it also has a higher chance of removing traits like iron will.

although with the recent update, when you shame a level 60 and above orc, it's less likely that they loose any strengths.. this does not include iron will.. iron will can still get removed after shaming let's say a level 64 orc, but his strengths will stay the same.. level 59 and below, it's same old same old..

Is deranged and maniac the same thing? I have been doing this to about 10orcs and only seen 2 deranged, 0 maniac. I have worst than death on.

Deranged is your usual moaning etc guy and maniacs are the guys who become stronger. The shameful (or ashamed, dont know how its called in english) is a maniac then?
