I did all of them and I also didnt get anything :/ tbh I thought they were just busywork that was added for the sake of another achivement.

I just finished all six of the Shadows of the Past missions and unlocked 'Shadows of the Sand'. Are you sure you are not missing some?

I think you have to gold all of them.
but: why some look locked? I have bought all skills and have even some spare unusable points.
