***SPOILERS*** The New Ring - What Happened?
So... I've fully beaten the game. With that said, I know this game tried to tie the lore into the actual Lord Of The Rings with Talion being one of the Nine and all that... But... I'm not sure if I missed something. What happened to the new ring that Talion and Celebrimbor made? After the fight at the top of the tower when Saruon and Celebrimbor became one... The Blade Of Galadriel still has the ring, right? So what happened to that great power??? Something made equal if not better then the original One Ring we are to just forget about? Furthermore, (This is now more then just the ring we are talking about) How exactly did Celebrimbor become one with Sauron? I thought Celebrimbor and Talion were bound together due to a Blood Sacrifice or whatever in the game Shadow Of Mordor. Now all of the sudden he can go from Talion to the Blade Of Galadriel and then to Saruon? I'm just lost and not really sure. One last thing to ask... What happened to Celebrimbor after Sauron died from Frodo throwing the ring into Mount Doom?

If I've missed something, please don't be rude. I'm just a little lost and confused at this point as I didn't see the answer to any of these vary important key story details. Just let me know nicely. :)

Thanks! :onering:

maybe we'll know in the next dlc... that would be my guess

The blood scarfice only drew Celebrimbor to Talion, it did not forcably bind them, Celebrimbor chose to bond with Talion.

Celebrimbor always had complete control over it, the Tower tell you this.

SInce Celebrimbor and Saruon merged, one could assume Celebrimbor is gone now too, however like Saruon most of him is now in the ring, so he could still be alive in the ring. Much like Saruon was.

As for the new ring, ether that will be the focus of the Blade Of Galadriel DLC.

Or it might lead to the thrid game.

I hope so. Otherwise it's a glaring plot hole. There is no reason for Celebrimbor to disappear if the "One Ring v2.0" is not destroyed.

If you watch the final cutscene after beating the Shadow Wars, you will notice that in the shot of Sauron’s tower exploding as it fell, there is a very distinct blue light that gets launched into the horizon. So I believe that the Blade of Galadriel DLC will tell us the final fate of Celebrimbor and the New Ring.

Might be good to write ' Spoiler alert ' on your title
I believe that blue glow of the Tower of Sauron was Celebrimbor himself (As the New Ring is picked up by Eltariel RIGHT after Sauron and Celebrmibor became One, the Devs showed the beginning cutscene of the Galadriel's Blade DLC, confirms this)
Dehya Jan 22, 2018 @ 1:30pm
Ratak is correct. The New Ring is, as it currently stands, in Eltariel's possession, as she is set to make use of it in the upcoming DLC, The Blsde of Galadriel.

Ah KK! I knew about the bleu glow. That's when I made this thread. lol. Hopefully we get a good story that works well with the actual lore! :steamhappy:

Thanks everyone for the help. I haven't seen the trailers or anything for that big DLC that's coming. I figured it would be about the ring though... Lol

If its of interest to you, like Ratak said, you can view the opening cinematic for the new DLC online if you haven't already. Its on the devs Twitch which is available to be replayed whenever you like, early on in the stream. Or you can look it up on YouTube.
It looks interesting to say the least.

You're welcome.

My gut feeling?

Probably destroyed. Most likely by the Blade of Galadriel in the upcoming DLC, but it not it would inevitably have lost its' power- which would still be a reflection of Sauron's- after the One is cast into Mount Doom at the end of the Third Age.

The Devs do play fast with the lore, but I don't think they play half as loose with it as they usually are accused of. And I do think they have really stayed true to a lot of the *themes* of spirit of the canon even if not to the letter.
