But downcloking the GPU? First of why would that help, I mean why would the game have issues with that in the first place? 2nd almost all custom GPU's come pre overcklocked. So we would need to reduce to the actual baseclock even though we paid money to have the OC by default in the first place?
I'm right there with you. I'm so disappointed. The first day everything worked fine, then black screen crashes every 5 minutes, and now I can't even open the game. I've scoured for any updates from WB and can't find a word. Can't believe I dropped $60+ on this.
I`m in the exactly same part as you! The same problem: the game crashes. When are they going to fix that?
I just had this problem and it persisted outside the game until I removed a "phantom" driver. All I can say is when i restarted I had no sound, glitchy video and the pc could see the cards but didn't use them past the display. Couldn't even bring up nvidia control panel. Tore cards out, switched them (970 in sli) ran one and then the other, looked for rollback in device manager, nvidia doesn't support that so add/remove driver, removed it, restarted, old driver still there anyway somehow but everything works now.
I was thinking my gpus went bad, maybe mobo, but nah, was just a brutal crash I guess. I'm only 3 hours in, I'm kind of nervous to try again. I'll try the tesselation fix next time and see if that works out for me.
And since you asked this question almost a year ago, I guess the answer is they won't fix it. Or can't.
